Default SSG - are the VIP perks an April Fools joke?

You sat quietly for 1.3 years to come up with this kind of VIP perks? Rest statues? Fletching? Hireling extension??

"Hireling timers dont count down while VIP" would be a good reward for that tier of loyalty. Would make buying regular gold seals worthwhile too, and keep you committed to VIP lest their timer starts to tick...

Likewise just make it 100% Fletching for VIP so they can just use specialty ammo and never look back. Ammo needs a comprehensive overhaul anyway and 95% Returning ammo should be craftable in all the different types, but VIP could get the last 5% as their perk.

I think a lot of the rewards there also fall into the category of "not worth carrying around all the time for the small chance you'll need it". Things like repair shrines, rest shrines, Angel tears, Spirit cakes etc. would be far more valuable if they went into a special "account bank" that let any character access them anytime, without needing to keep them in individual character backpacks. Because I'm not going to know ahead of time which character might need to repair a weapon mid-quest or something, and I'm not going to waste half a bag page carrying around all those "emergency" consumables on every single alt. They're Store items, they should be available all the time just like you can buy things from the Store itself at any time.

Or heck, maybe just make it so instead of getting the item itself, you get a "coupon" on your account that lets you get one from the Store for free.

These seem like good ideas on the surface. I feel like making the hireling absolutely permanent might be overkill. They're pretty cheap for a permanent item, even if it's only permanent for VIPs. Maybe slow down the timer 100x? Or make them permanent but if they die in a quest, then they disappear from your inventory after the quest is over. Something to allow for the occaisional repurchase.

The issue I see with 100% Fletching is that it would negate so many abilities in the game, making them worthless for VIPs. I'd rather see something like a bonus to your quiver. Like each year on month 4 you get a stacking +1 Unique items to your equipped quiver and the and the total capacity goes up proportionately. So, if you had a quiver of alacrity that starts with 3 unique items and 4500 capacity, then each year would add 1 unique item and 1500 more total capacity. Or something else ammo related, but not something that mimics existing character abilities.

( i mean a potion belt, a weapon case, a clothing sack, a jewelry box -- all built like bags of holding that take up one slot -- but could only be used by VIPS would be popular rewards, and would allow folks to store lots more stuff in the bank by having those as "sub-folders" within a folder. ) I think something like this would go over well as rewards. I suppose the problem is that lapsing their VIP account would cause them to be unable to access their items and there would be so much rage...
