If you did code for a living, you would get it. But you don't, so you do not. Comparing food preparation in a restaurant is faaaaar different that combing through 1,000,000,000 characters in code. Its SO complex that even database management tools struggle.
The complexity is mind boggling to those that think that coding is as easy food prep...

Well this makes it clear you don't code for a living either. OP was correct, it should NOT be difficult to understand and fix a module in the game. No one combs through code to figure out what to update, did you get this from a movie?. This is a production mmo, and the fact so many of its systems are broken is embarrassing.

Since transfers stopped, the guild have been divided into two servers. Everyone is just waiting, no fun playing. Makes the anniversary abit ironic ...
This is not only a hardcore to main server issue. I hope this is highly prioritised and understood by devs.
I'm been VIP almost from the start, been buying all expansion, so been toosing lotsa money into this game and I expect more Im sorry to say.

I second that, my account is divided, I can't play my characters the same way, all my gear isn't with me, and my friends are stuck in a different server
This is honestly so outrageous, it has been 3 weeks!

We are extending the After Party of the Hardcore Season through March 21st, with the After Party ending when we bring the game worlds down for weekly maintenance on March 22nd. I personally was left stranded with a single character in a different server, before I could move my whole account, and my friends cannot follow me also.
Many others were left without their guildies, and without their gear like me.
Please address that once the services are back online.

Awwww! poor you! The 1st thing I learned when I started playing DDO is that everything is SERVER dependent. if you want to play a FVS, you buy it or gain the favor on EACH server you want to play an FVS....etc. You can still play with your friends, you just needed to wait a bit. IMHO we are lucky SSG has opened FREE transfers.Think of all the stuff you moved to a new server, you wouldn't have them if SSG didn't open free transfers

people cheating was the result not the reason. The reason was the transfers had issues from the start. Not everyone that had issues with transfers was due to cheating. That tells me there was an issue "allowing" the transfers to go on. The toon copying was the result of the coding that allowed the transfers.

When transfers were opened, the coding had issues that allowed some players to have "copied" toons rather than "transferred" toons. So now, they had a toon on their original server (with all the goodies they collected) AND on the server they just copied to. So say you purchased the Season Pass from a few years back and took the time to do your daily Gold & Silver rolls on all servers and have several pages of XP stones saved....then, SSG opens free transfers because of some coding issues (probably tested it once before making transfers live) and you xfer that toon and find it is now on the original server AND the new server with all the goodies on both servers. THAT is why transfers were closed. :-)

This was a very good idea.

A strong Ghallanda is great for DDO. It was definitely time to do this, and a perfect counterbalance as well due to the current phenomenon.

There are many guilds on Ghallanda that will make awesome homes for NEW PLAYERS. Tyrs Paladium will VERY GLADLY ACCEPT brand no players to DDO.

We have the experience and the logistics (guild website, Discord, 16 years guild leadership experience that never changed hands).

There are other guilds here that also make great homes for new blood.
