In my experience, TR cache does go with, BUT since the guide from SSG says it doesn't I wouldn't be surprised if it occasionally doesn't.

Did I miss the transfer period to get a character off the hardcore server? I had been waiting for transfers to be re-enabled for ages and now saw the update message in the first post of this thread.

Yeah, sorry, it ended ~8 hours ago w/ this most recent server reset.

Been a lot of threads on it, official and otherwise - here's the latest, w/ links to an early official warning of today from 2 1/2 weeks ago.

The guide does say otherwise, but I've moved reincarnated characters off HC and the reincarnation cache came with.

I always move important things out first to be safe, but it has always moved...

Yeah, that is garbage. I had my toon ready to go, was waiting for weeks. Go out of town for two-week school break and come back and I missed the window? It was not announced in the game loader, and they gave no advanced warning. They need to reopen the after party for at least as long as it was closed down, no?

UPDATE: Character Transfers have been re-enabled following the resolution of a bug which caused transfers to be disabled last month. We are extending the After Party of the Hardcore Season through March 21st, with the After Party ending when we bring the game worlds down for weekly maintenance on March 22nd. Additionally, we are re-enabling free Character Transfers to Orien and Sarlona through March 21st, ending when we bring the game worlds down for weekly maintenance on March 22nd. We are currently working to resolve an issue that prevents us from opening World Character Transfers. At this time we do not have an ETA on when this service will return. We will announce an extension of the free transfer period to Orien and Sarlona in addition to an extension of transfers from the Hardcore server once we know more about this service's return.

So, you tell us in the launch window to NOT transfer. Then DO NOT tell us in the launch window that we SHOULD transfer. Some of us don't troll the forums on a regular basis.

Thanks to this poor execution I've lost XP pots and a fast nightmare mount to say the least.

Had it worked as intended I would have transfred when instructed. Your extenstion was not long enough and very poorly advertised.

Well I completely missed this announcement. Very annoying as I had spent a while to set up my toons ready for the transfer to re-open. While I do check the dev tracker most weeks, I don't check it every week (sometimes life gets busy). I did not see the message in the launch window -- nor did any of my friends mention it to me. If the message was at the top of the list, I am not sure how I (or my friends) could have missed it.

Being unable to transfer my toons is not the end of the world, but it is annoying. I had been checking frequently earlier in March but I eventually got frustrated with the lack of news and increased the intervals between checking. I must have stopped checking during the key period when transfers did re-open as today is the first time I checked for a couple of weeks.

The message in the launcher was an edit of the original one not a new message, so was always at least 3-4 messages down. unless you scrolled down to look at it you wouldn't have seen it, and why would you want to re-read old announcements after all...

because you had characters waiting for transfer, I checked every day, I don't need a nanny.

As a returning player, i ddnt know about the free transfer and just knew that happened after check the forum.

I would be grateful if got a new oportunity for tranfers, cause i got some friends that were/still lost in khyber and want to get back to the game and join me in sarlona!

Can't hurt to ask, but going by past response it's very odds-against.

But there's nothing preventing your friends from starting new characters any other server.* With some help from a "rich uncle" (that's you!), leveling should be pretty fast.

(* Also a very good reason to get 100 Favor on every server!
