Easier to read, but feels out of place. I usually prioritize function before form, but I wouldn't be surprised if people who specialize in fonts (I am not one of those people) would have half a dozen suggestions for fonts that match DDO's feel while still being easily readable.

Talk about 'fixing' things that REALLY didn't need fixing.

This isn't true. It does need fixing.

A large part of the fonds used in DDO do not scale that well and cause pixelation/sharpness glitches even on lower resolutions.
(The edges of the characters are dancing/fibrating, which can cause headaches and even epilepsy.)

There is also a growing demand for higher resolutions.

The thing that annoys me is that the scroll folds our horizontally while we have the text has a slider that goes vertically.
Btw, that slider is the one thing that breaks immersion for me.

Why do books and tomes not show a book or tome when trying to read the text in them but show a scroll instead?
Why do we have so much things in ddo that have some sort of text on them but hardly anything can be inspected for the actual text.

So many missed chances to enrich the immersion.
Even it were some unreadable scribbles that are half blurred with some doodles would be nice to see.
Heck, that could even be half auto generated so each time you inspect some you see something different.
Heck even more, with the right skills / lore feats are racial traits you might be able to do see things more clearly for what they are.
Only to find out it are the ramblings of a madman, pritty much like this....

I would ask this question

Do you read the dialog? - I know many that have never read the dialog and simply click through. This was evident during the first hard core season where they split up TOEE and all those deaths to the ballista where the note at the entrance even tells you - "Don't go that way, there is an alternative path"

I like the readability of the new dialog myself. Immersion isn't lost for me.

Maybe changing the fonts is the first step in a long process to add UI scaling.

If SSG truly wants to maintain/grow the game for the future and try to keep and/or get new players the UI scaling issue is something they have to address.

Not scaling to current resolutions will be a show stopper for many new players given the complexity of the toolbars, and the selections within various windows in the game.

I know this is a major undertaking, but it really needs to be addressed.
