Default If you ever needed more proof that SSG does not listen:

    Per release notes:

Bank - Crafting storage now has a sorting option: Legacy Sort (the old way) or Alphabetical (A-Z) or (Z-A).
Crafting storage needs to be last-in-first-out just like shared bank & now regular bank. But alphabetical? I cannot think of a more useless sorting method. If you know you're after you can just search for it. Ain't NOBODY going to sort the list alphabetically then click through 60 pages to get to the Ts.
If I can read the dev tracker, you can too.

    This 100%...

In my opinion, if you cant go to the last page is exactly 0% useful and was a complete waste of time!

Just for giggles, can someone come up with a way the updated crafting bag sorting would be useful? I am actually curious because i have drawn a blank!

They could make all the ingredients, augments, and filigrees in the next xpac begin with "a". Then sorting alphabetically would be kind of like they gave us last-in-first-out for a couple of days.

That's all I got. Anyone else?

I'm actually very excited about this option because its going to be GREAT when it comes to cleaning out your crafting storage. Organizing by name now lets you easily scroll through and identify when you have multiple stacks of stuff and can get rid of your duplicates.

Filters would be useful for the crafting storage box...

    Filter by pack
    Sharn, Feywild, Saltmarsh, etc...

    Filter by type
Filigree, Augment, Cannith crafting, arrows, bolts, etc...

    Filter by level range.

I would agree except crafting storage is actually big enough to comfortably accommodate everything(unlike every single other type of storage). So while it does make cleaning it easier, its not something in dire need of cleaning.

The question was "How can you make use of alphabetical storage?" not "what options would you like to see added?"(since the only one we actually need is last-in-first-out).

Well, you got one good answer. Checking total inventory of each item by doing an alpha sort, since neither the old way or LIFO would group multiple stacks of the same item together.

For all other purposes, you've got a point though.

    Exactly. Especially for artifact duplicates.
Sometimes I pull one out just to watch it die over and over. That's how much I hate hires.

Minor artifacts don't go in the crafting storage.

You can simply search for T.
Just like 3 other letters of the alphabet I can put before that. Hahahaha

I have not looked into the latest feature they added but...
I'd recommend searching for the first 3 letters of whatever you are looking for or what you can recall of the name.
After that sorting the results could be a welcome addition.

    sort by crafting device.
really not important . placing an item in the device to find the shard then checking to see if you have the collectables to make the shard and finding the one your short and typing its name in the filter will tell you how may you have and how many you need for that shard.

on the other hand the Sharn crafting is stupid in making this item from 20 of those items to get 1 of these items you need 40 of these to make 1 of those items needed for crating the shard .
    is stupid.

No, that gets you all items with a T in the name. (e.g black stone)

But maybe you knew that and this was just an attempt at humor. Even then, it was worth correcting your advice for those that may have thought it would work.

To the devs, if you are going to do an A-Z sort with single page scrolling, you also need to add index (like the A-Z tabs on a rolodex) or at least direct page access. Any sorting when you have to click forward one page at a time is not useful past a handful of pages.

maybe I fast read EShadowbringer's question and saw what I wanted to see...
but it was not what you are "quoting" EShadowbringer as asking.

The filters I mentioned would help make the crafting storage useful to me.

I love the alphabetical sorting. I think it is a huge improvement. yes I would like to see more sorting options, but this is a step in the right direction for me.
