Default DDO 17th Anniversary Suggestion - Revisiting a gift from 15th Anniversary

I see that all the xpacs will be on sale, which is awesome.

Would there be any chance to revisit / turn-on the like the one 2 years ago, 'DDOFREEQUESTS'.

Have some friends interested in checking out the game for the first time but looking at what all is currently f2p having this code active once again would be an amazing boon for some new accounts.

EDITED POST: OP I asked about DDOQUESTS2021, which discounted past xpacks to ridiculiously low 99 pts. My mistake, I was trying to reference the older F2P adventure packs code.

    .
They (Severlin, Big Boss) specifically said it was not financially viable to do this.

Also where do you see the xpacs being on sale? They are the same ole' price as always?

Cash shop, they're all on sale, some are 75% off.

Really? I'm surprised they derive so much business from people buying the stuff that is really old that this code unlocks. Then again I really have no idea what their financials look like for the game; I always thought it would be xpacks/consumables/ViP/cosmetics and less about old adventure packs.

EDIT: Woops, the code I put in original post was the code that turned some xpacks into only costing 99 DDO pts. I can see how running that often would not be good for business. I since edited the post to reflect the code I meant that opens many older adventure packs, not expansions.

They are currently discounted on the DDO Market and an annoucement went out a little bit ago about xpack discounts.

I was mistakened. SSG is the greatest game company ever conceived by mortal minds. Praise onto everyone who works there! Praise!!

The anniversary gift this year will be a crappy cosmetic and the same old grindy dungeon. With the amount of player unrest right now you'd think they'd do more... but no. Its SSG. Less is still too much.
If I can read the dev tracker, you can too.

Sev did say they have "something special" lined up for the movie release, we'll see what that's about. Kinda sorta excited.

Hmmm but is it financially viable in the long run if old content remains that expensive?

It can turn away a lot of new / returning / causal players. It would be good if DDO does something about player retention and those high prices are not very appealing , as new players will compare it to other games.

Then DDO population will get lower and lower over time. More players would be more costumers and more money I think.

But maybe they have something good planned for D&D movie release, let's hope and see.

What I would like to see is a way to get those year 15 anny tokens. Trade in like 500 party favors for one would be be very nice.

I ran it once and said no thanks. Not worth my time.

Well with 75% off it can be done now. And 75% off the three pack expansion too, which gives me ravenloft so I can get a sentient weapon for once.

Heh, if we're going to give out 15th anniversary gifts, I'd rather have that no-effort quiver of alacrity pls

Pretty sure he did not say this. His financial viability comment iirc was in relation to the daily gold rolls, not the free quests coupon code.
