Stop yanking his chain. He's right. The OP brought their real world cult into a general discussion forum for this game. At the very least the thread should be moved to: https://forums.ddo.com/forums/forumd...amp-Gatherings provided SSG doesn't mind sponsoring cult activity.

You previously quoted the ToU ver batim, and that is not exactly* how it reads, yet you continue to insist on your personal (mis)interpretation.
(* If it was, any mention of "Christmas sales" or "Hallowe'en sales" would be forbidden - and they're not.)
THIS is the problem, and it's 100% on you. Drop it, walk away, and you won't be reminded of it again. Problem solved.
Even though the OP's topic was not about a specific religion or religion in general, it did use religious language and was in fact a call to perform a religious act (prayer) in "public", which has devolved into a religious "debate" (and I use that term loosely)
If the response to this is "just ignore it" then why the ef do we have any rules or guidelines for posting on the forums at all? Those recent crypto-scam spam threads? Don't report them, just ignore them and move on. Politically fueled threads? just ignore them and move on. Hate threads that promote racism, sexism, extreme nationalism calling for the harm of "others", just ignore it and move on, right? I mean, of course, but also report so that these forums don't become a chaotic mess of mostly those types of threads one has to sift through to find the few that are about the game itself.
A call to prayer is quite a bit different from the use of a common (in the country the game is made in) holiday's name to identify a period of time for a sale.
What if instead of "the Lord" (the capitalized lord makes it reverential, and used in this context does have religious meaning), the OP asked us to thank Allah? Would that change anyone's opinions on this thread? Allah is just another word for God in a different language after all (though I suspect many have a very specific view of what is being talked about when that word is used instead). In the context of the OP, "the Lord" could mean either "the Lord Jesus Christ" or "the Lord our God"... Though even if he meant JC, given the doctrine of Trinitarianism (the holy trinity: the father, the son, and the holy spirit, being separate beings but also one, and that one three-in-one being is (the Christian) god, so the theoretical swap to Allah holds.
Yes, being in public in a free society does not automatically shield anyone from things they do not want to see, but this is the forums of a private company, and they have set rules for it's use. Like it or not, this thread (especially the responses to it) are going into territory that is prohibited by those rules. As such, rather than "ignore it and move on" the response (imo) should be report it to be closed/removed. (and I suspect that this post will get a lot of the reports because I'm calling it out plainly instead of being coy with my language, whatever, if it means the forum rules actually get upheld, than fine by me).

I bought a kracken on Orien to support DDO over the weekend. And upgraded it to a 2% shrine, which is the highest I can go at current guild level

In Thanksgiving,
I gave away 240,000 platinum pieces to seven people who had not reincarnated.
I gave away 19 red dragon scales, and 44 white epic Dragonscales.
I gave away 30 rare filigrees.
I gave away several Cannith crafted items, including a level 16 great sword that does 20d6 damage per crack and a maul (Blueshine) level four that does 2d6 light and 2d6 bludgeoning damage, giving these weapons to a new player who is a teenager, with his dad's permission. Also, I gave away an adamantine, level 22, crafted tower shield, with an open blue and white augment, that does 5d6 holy and 5d6 piercing and 19 insightful poison resist, also to a new player. The tower shield had an emblem of an Aztec god, so cool graphic, and reminded me on the first edition book, God's and Demigods, where they gave the stats for all the Aztec pantheon deities. I loved that book. Did you know, that the gods of Dungeons and Dragons did exist, according to the Bible. Also, each had a sphere of control. Vecna is one of those Gods. Thor's sphere of control is war, and is able to perceive any upcoming conflict a month in advance. Given the range of Mjolnir was one mile, and it always crits with a natural 20, you better be pretty powerful to attempt to fight Thor. Many warhammers of DDO do sonic or lightning damage, in honor of this deity, the god of thunder. So take your religion and shove it, all religions. Rather, Have Fun and love one another. Good luck at looting the hammer called Whelm, from White Plum Mountain.
