I am writing to express my strong disapproval and disappointment with the decision to disable gold rolls on Hardcore league without prior warning. Dozens of friends I know still have shards, including myself. Now I am unable to spend them. This decision has effectively defrauded the players who invested money into buying the shards.
As a player and paying subbed VIP customer who plays every hardcore league and runs a guild of over 1000 players there, I expect fair and transparent treatment for myself and everyone else. Disabling gold rolls without prior warning goes against the principle of fair play, customer centric communnity support, and is a breach of our trust.
Your decision has left many players I have spoken to feeling betrayed, frustrated, misled, and irate. It is real money we spend to buy shards and by disabling our ability to spend them by gold rolling has directly damaged the reputation of your company for lack of transparency.
I hope that in the future, SSG will take a more ethical approach to its business practices and show more consideration for the community of DDO players who support the game. I urge you to rectify the situation and compensate those who have been affected by this reckless and ill-timed decision.
