    Default KOTC Imbue problem?

I just TR'd into a Paladin and noticed that when I took the second core of KOTC my imbue damage did not increase. The first core added 1d6 light damage. The second core added an extra imbue die, but the damage remained 1d6. I have reset the tree, toggled the imbue and relogged the character and the damage stays 1d6. Is this a bug or am I missing something?

Is "1d6" something that is written in the ability description or is it something that you have observed your weapon dealing?

Check the + tab under general combat & look for bonus imbue dice, the tooltip for the ability will only state the base for it. Once you start hitting stuff you should hopefully see that imbue doing bigger numbers than before (reset the tree & compare before & after taking the enhancement if needed), especially since it's still low levels & you won't yet have much melee power to boost it.
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was, now what's it is weird and scary to me.

I get 1d6 damage against the trading dummy with the first core. When I add the second core and redo the toggle I still get 1 to 6 points of light damage against the dummy.

With the first core the character sheet shows 0 imbue dice. After I take the second core I have 1 bonus imbue die.

Everything seems correct except I still only get 1 to 6 points of damage.

    Thanks for the help, btw

The problem seems to be whether I'm wielding a favored weapon. Oddly, I get the imbue damage either way, but only get the bonus imbue die if its a favored weapon. The enhancement text would seem to point to that being reversed. But at least I have my answer.

That is odd. Yes the KoTC imbue now requires a favored weapon to use, which is a change from the way it was before. That the imbue dice require favored weapon doesn't make sense and is definitely a bug.

When you say "redo the toggle" do you mean turning it off and back on, or dragging a new button to your tool bar?

Has anyone tested these imbue dice with a different Imbue? Based on the way the tooltip for Slayer of Evil is written, it would make sense that the imbue itself would not function without a favored weapon.

I would be curious to know if someone's tried using KOTC with another class or universal tree's imbue toggle.

    Both

I was able to get the second die with a favored weapon.

Maybe the implementation for "turn off this imbue if you're not using a favored weapon" is to not allow bonus imbue dice to apply. I could see that being a workaround which still lets you have the imbue toggled on while you're swapped to a scroll etc.

Anyhow, glad you solved the mystery!
That's not lag, it's just DDO trying to become turn-based again.
