Personally I think for Hardcore to be Hardcore a truly invulnerable Tarrasque should randomly attack a public area a few times each hour...

Title says "most obvious" I totally disagree. I can think of a dozen monsters better suited for DDO, I'd take Ettin any day vs the aforementioned monsters.

Some of you are absolutely humorless and wouldn't know tongue-in-cheek commentary even if it were labeled as such.

I guess in this threads case, it would have to be labeled as such

I for one appreciated your attempt at a meme thread. Sad to see it didn't take off as planned.

I don't mind meme threads if they have some sort of substance, too, and in my opinion this one does. It made me thinking of all the classic D&D monsters, and while I was longing for Wyverns, Ankhegs and other things that killed me in Pool Of Radiance (C64), I had to consult my red box D&D basic rules in order to find something really interesting.

This game doesn't have boars, does it? In "the other game", which apparently should not be named, boars are such a meme there's even a quest where you have to spend 30 minutes searching for them, and you can only complete the quest if you don't exit the landscape area or quit the quest while it's ticking, because there are none in that particular area, even though they are plentiful in every other region - from the starter areas to the other side of Mordor.

So, my suggestion is a boar. Moar boars.

Default Oh I know what it is...

Just add the "Angry Wife" to the game. Most of us already deal with wife-agro, so having this as an R10 + encounter would be fitting.

Maybe the Wife's ultimate attack ability could disconnect you from DDO, should you fail either your willpower (vs whining) or reflex (vs thrown objects) saves. Obviously, someone would have to off-tank the kids while the rest of the battle-hardened "Men" engaged her directly.

That was a fine idea Even if you do not know the meme, it was so obvious that this thing is not a "serious" monster to be implemented. This place is dominated by killjoys, hence most players avoid the forum. Pretty much supports the assumption DDO's playerbase mainly consists of heartshriveled joyless old men (or at least the forum people).

Well now, you call out certain stereotypes because you are who? It is hypocritical to call out people on forums with remarks that are exactly what you dislike.

As to the OP, this pretty much sums up the thread. (no offence meant.)
