Yeah it was just not in the TR path I had planned but I think I can do a side quest to get Hamp then return to the path
Finishing combo was DDOs first builder spender
There was a decent one that did an instakill cleave type attack but yeah it was terrible annoying and felt like playing generic fighter arcade game putting the combo to get attack totally immersive breaking
I agree with the other posters monk could use a pass
SF plays more like classical DnD 3.5 monk than DDO monk does imo.
DnD monk is an agile anti-mage off-tank with special melee moves and stunning fist. Paladin saves and the moves in the SF tree fit perfectly. It gets whirlwind in the tree and can also chose stunning fist.
DDO monk gets weird ki moves that are not classical DnD 3.5 monk. It also gets the classical monk feats like Quivering fist and Spell Resistance, but they are almost useless due to power creep and the way they are implemented in DDO. The main reason to play this is abundant step (which is also not working like in DnD but it's great).
I'm not saying this is bad necessarily, but the classical core monk competencies have certainly been eroded. For anybody saying that this is the way SF works in DnD as well, no they were a PrC with full spell progression but without full monk fist damage or the feats to pick up special attacks like whirlwind. I also do not think it got as many attacks per round (Flurry of Blows, which is anyway useless now). That said I would still play DDO monk just because of abundant step. If you are going to play twf with bad crit profile, you might as well have fun.

I agree Flurry of Blows is useless now, a key monk thing.
