Are there any limits on expansions? How much raid equipment? Also, what is your main Stat? STR or WIS?
I have no limits on gear, and if I don't have a piece of raid, short Skeletons in the Closet I have enough Runes to get it.
Main stat is Strength.
I have really struggled with the gear Tetris as I know I can get a small bump here or there but get stuck losing something I want to keep.

Thinking of renaming this particular character the H.M.S. Hood (look it up if you don't get the reference) as a DPS build it does very well, as for survivability ... "That Fire Beetle just looked at me funny, that explains why I am soul stone, AGAIN." Which in part is the reason I am taking a harder look at gearing.
For this character's next life I have some thoughts on redesigning this character due to the game changes in the past several updates, it really needs to grind out a solid dozen more reaper points which is far easier at cap than grinding away in the reincarnation chain. It doesn't hurt that I have multiple other characters on the reincarnation change so I would like to leave one character at cap.

I've been playing a centered Fighter for a while now. When IoD released I switched to as much Dino gear as I could and I've been happy with it. Currently I'm doing a 3-piece Dread Stalker (Raid Outfit/Robe + Hat + Cloak), 5-piece profane dread set (Ring artifact + Wrist + Boots + Trinket + Raid Falchion), 2-piece Summer (Ring + Belt) and 2-piece LGS HPs (Goggles + Neck).
You mention survivability being a problem, maybe check out GMoF as your primary destiny?
Edit: you mentioned not having Skeletons runes, before I acquired the raid gear I used the quest outfit and the explorer area belt.
if you redo it then I would go DEX based. Ninja spy core 1 and 3 or ninja spy core 1 and wood elf t4 to get dex to hit/damage. More AC and more reflex should improve your survivability and horizon walker with wind stance will boost your dps. STR is pretty much dead unless you are a barbarian in fury. PotF is IMO better than dread stalker for your build. PotF + suulomades set is a very good start. work on MRR cap and you're set. I didnt suggest dino gear since you said you dont really have runes/raid gear

I don't have a Nebula Fragment after weeks of grinding Saltmarsh so if I pull that this could change. I didn't slot all the augments, in part because the DDO Gear Planner doesn't have them all in yet, which will be the next step, along with several runs through VON for Ring of the Silver Concord.

There were two distinct challenges for me. Needing to maximize Str, Con, and Charisma and get Dex and Wisdom as high as I could, leaving only Int as a true dump stat. Minimize Threat Generation.
The Tanks laugh when you hit Suulomades for 29K, pull agro get one shotted and than the tanks need to reestablish agro in VoD.
it's not perfect for me, as the Legendary Signet Ring of Sky is pretty much a wasted slot for me with Devotion, Radiance, and Nullification so it might fit better for you.
I had considered switching out the Bone Bracers for Bone Ring, dropping the Legendary Signet Ring of Sky and adding Legendary Admiral's Wrist Watch. Which would allow me to swap out the Legendary Bloodstone for .... Well nothing really fit. I always was left with one wasted slot.
For me the big miss is no +3 Quality Strength. It is one of those with things at the moment where losing 1 To Hit and Damage (str) is less important than losing 2 or 3 damage from Divine Might (Chr).

I just hit the 8/6/6 build at 29 niow so I'm going to start farming the dino stuff until 32. Note that I'm CHA based, not STR based, so slightly different priorities.
I put together a similar gearset to what you (GG) had above but I did the thing you suggested and moved over to the Dino Artifact Ring since all the other dino set rings are basically bad (at least for melee). Note that I put this together without looking at your set above but ended up in a similar spot dino wise, but using the Sharn melee set. Wanting to run the profane and artifact MP bonuses leads to the Sharn/Dino set split. I might rejigger for Sands items, but right now I don't have any so I need to farm a lot. I have sharn stuff I can use right away.
The thing about Dino crafting tis that the two main prefixes we care about that are hard to get are Dodge and Doublestrike. The rest (AP, deadly, accuracy, seeker) all have slots.

IDK why you would go CHA over WIS since WIS also gives Will Save.

SA dam/dice is very high value but I personally prefer to focus on non-conditional damage. For max DPS increase priority on SA.
I recently came back to the game and am focusing on catching up on racial TRs right now, but this is the gearset I would plan to use if I were working on that part of the game right now. My planned build is 18/1/1 Ftr/Fvs/Lock WF and the set could be optimized a bit more for damage, and if you are playing Wood Elf (seems like possibly the actual best option for DPS with racial accuracy and Precision, would need to test how necessary that combination is) and have 3% DStrike from the racial tree you can drop 3% from somewhere else (perhaps the armor and pick up 150% Fortification).

The only offensive stats lacking here IMO are quality Accuracy, quality Combat Mastery, quality Seeker, and quality WIS. Ultimately they are all very minor.
