Windows 11, DDO keeps crashing after selecting server

I have been experimented this issue since wednsday 23.
-I logged in (o.k)
-Select server (i tried with another server and it´s the same)
-And it crashed (No error message)
-Put Ctrl+Alt+Supr to view the process in real time and no trace of DDO.
-Tried to run as administrator (same problem)
-Tried to install DirectX last version (also 9, nothing)
-Repair in the launcher menu, (nothing)
-Unnistall and install... (Not working neither)
-Change the carpet´s name (nahhh, that does not work neither)

I have been looking for solutions in forums since, nothing yet, just something about nasty Win 11 update 22h2 and the innability to get you connect to domains. And i can´t unnistall that update.

Is someone experimenting the same issue? Because I´m getting mad (Sorry if is is not well understood, english is not my native lenguage)

Ty a lot, that did not work, in this point i had already disable windows defender and all the functions. Well, it turns out Windows defender activated itself and indentified DDO as a threat. So all this time was Windows defender. So double check fixed it.

Windows Defender will likely keep thinking it's a threat after every DDO update. So if you run into the same problem again, you'll know where to look.

My employer required that I "upgrade" the PCs I use for work to Windows 11, I have put it off until the last minute.

After upgrading to Windows 11, 22H2 I too can no longer run DDO on my workstation at home. The launcher starts and I can select a server, but when I select a server it attempts to start the ddoclient (either 32 or 64 bit) and fails.

I have tried disabling the firewall, anti-virus, repaired, reinstalled, redone configuration, renamed the user preferences files, tried to watch the processes as this goes.

To me it doesn't appear that the ddoclient is ever started. I have checked the ddo logs I see where the launcher starts the DDO client, but never see the client start in any other log.

Is there more logging I can enable?

Anything I should try?

Last time I had this issue renaming the client (not launcher) fixed it.

This was AFTER I did a repair, and an uninstall/reinstall.

No, I have no idea why it worked, I just know it did.

For the record...

Media Feature Pack is a required "Optional Feature" to run DDO on Windows 11

If you have Windows 11 Pro Workstation it is not installed by default.

Try these fixes:
Check for incompatible hardware.
Get the latest system updates.
Scan and repair your drivers.
Perform a clean boot.
Check for corrupted system files.
Disable overclocking.
Increase the virtual memory.
Check the crash log.
