    Default imbue question

    Hello All

    1) Sorry, I just don't understand how the imbue system works.

    2) If you have "imbue dice" but DON'T have an imbue toggle option, what does that mean?

2a) What changed for the better with imbue dice?

    2b) What became "worse"?

    Thanks

If you don’t have a toggle that means you get no damage no matter how how many dice you have

You need to have an imbue active for the dice to do anything otherwise they have no effect at all, that's definitely worse.

For the better, since the dice all add up & then are scaled via spell/melee/ranged power instead of multiple individual effects you get 1 larger effect, meaning resistances or eg. the reduction from reaper difficulty won't zero them out. It also means less calculations being run by the server, so it's another thing to help reduce the load - small by itself but combined with other measure they add up.
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was, now what's it is weird and scary to me.

If you don't have an imbue toggle then imbue dice do nothing for you.

    It's a mixed bag.

Some builds gained an imbue toggle which they didn't have before, such as Battle Engineer, or had an enhancement changed into a imbue toggle, such as Swashbuckler.

Some builds gained more potential damage since their old imbue toggles didn't have the ability to go above their base damage, such as the Tempest imbue. The KoTC imbue lost a die of damage, but can now get more imbue dice from other sources.

Some imbues toggles that existed before the change became worse because they had limitations slapped on them like the KoTC and Vile Chemist Imbues.

Some builds got nothing from the changes, such as Fighters and Shintao monks.

Also Offhand Versatility got nerfed for orbs and runearms as a part of these changes. The Tiefling imbue is just plain broken at the moment.

    You all are great.
    Thanks

I have a gnome PM and I don't think I have a toggle anywhere so I was wondering how this affected me.
As for my other toons (tempest and swashbuckler), they do have imbue toggles and I use them but I wasn't sure what they were doing to help.

    Thanks again
