    Default Cooldown bug?

I'm not sure when this started, but I've been having this issue for a while now.

At first, I thought my old keyboard was being contrary and sticking on me until another guildmate complained about the same problem.

When using the numbers on the keyboard for special attacks, there is a pause of ~1-2 seconds before being able to activate the next attack.

I used to be able to go from 1 to 2 to 3 ... all the way to 0, pretty fast, but now there is a significant delay between each one.

Is this a bug, or did the devs decide to add another nerf to melee characters

SSG is handling this in their usual fashion.

In the "RIP Ability chaining" thread, Torc posted this on 10 November:

Cordovan then posted the following in the "Devs, any updates on abilities chaining?" on 18 November, and again on 25 November:

We have been looking into issues with this change since Update 57, and we intend to revert this change in the next game update.

It seems that even with a plan to revert the change, they have a different understanding of what ASAP means. Meanwhile, the playerbase gets more and more frustrated because SSG treats harmful and beneficial issues very differently. It shouldn't take a month to patch this.

This is why I won't give them a dime anymore, they simply don't care and show more and more their incomptence after each update. Update after update with more and more bugs and we get major ones like this which totally suck the fun out of the game and we will have to wait potentially month for it to be fixed if not longer. Also, what's to say something else won't get broken?

Maybe we should just all move on and let this game die..unfortunately there aren't similar games on the market. I sure am not interested in Neverwinter, that's for sure. I still enjoy the game for what it is and have good memories, but I would be lying if I said all these problems aren't incredibly frustrating.

If I sound jaded it's cause I am cause nothing has or will change. Please prove me wrong and I will give credit where it is due!

I really hope for a DDO 2 from a company that really cares one day, but I won't hold my breath.

If there's a bug that is impacting game play in favor of the players they fix it very quickly because otherwise they encourage players to switch and take advantage of the bug. Generally this is because the bug is somehow allowing players to advance faster than optimal from SSG's point of view.

This bug impacts play against the players, particularly melee players. It is encouraging players to switch away from melee builds until it is fixed. It is making some players play much less than they otherwise might and spend much less than they otherwise might. I would argue that the fun factor in DDO has dropped dramatically due to the bug. Really it should be fixed quickly because although SSG may not see it that way I believe the bug is probably impacting their bottom line at least as much as the exploit bugs that help players do.

Don't worry, the bug will be fixed ASAP. Like next month. Maybe. Or next year. Or possibly when they fix the ladders.

But ASAP, for sure, though that does seem to mean "as slowly as possible" in SSG speech.

Ok, so it's another bug from the devs that clearly do not give a **** about their player base, gotcha
