Understanding Mythic Boost

Been farming to get my melee items all Mythic boosted and a little confusing with all of the recent changes.

Obviously any item that drops with Mythic boost and you leave it alone is fine, but this whole ToF to make items Mythic boosted I'm not 100% on.

1. I have a Mythic boosted Black Razor that I am planning to craft into a Soul Razor. If I do this, am I going to lose the Mythic boost? If so, is this what they have done and what they want you to spend some Ridiculous amount of ToF to get back!?

2. If this is true, does it effect Any Mythic boosted items that go through any kind of a change? (ie, crafting/ level etc)

3. Can Any item be Mythic boosted with ToF? (ie, Cannith crafted, regular items etc)

Just want to make sure I'm getting this so I can continue to recognize the limitations of what I will and will Not do playing this game lol

Yeah upgrade Black Razor will strip Mythic

If it's "catch and release" crafting, then the Mythic bonus would stay (as well as augments, reaper bonus, etc). This can usually be identified by seeing "effect removed" and "effect added" in the tool-tip of the barter window.
- Ex: Cannith crafting
- Ex: Cannith Challenge item upgrades

The Blackrazor upgrade is a "scrap and replace" crafting, where the whole items is replaced with the new one. This can usually be identified by the whole item being shown in the tool-tip of the barter window.
- Ex. Upgrading item from Heroic to Epic

That quote isn't saying anything about stats being removed when upgrading an item.

I found it out the hard way.
Had some nice people hand me out two marilith armors, one had a mythic bonus.
Naturally I upgraded the one with the bonus to an epic version.
Only to find out it lost the mythic stat in the proces.
Did not made me to sad as it was handed out to me but if I known on forehand I'd swap the two heroics versions around for upgrading.

And for the OP, yeah, we'll never fully upgrade items with mythic boosts this way.

Same for reaper boosts.

Yeah, I couldn't tell from description if it just added Mythic boost for those who didn't have a Mythic boosted weapon or what.

Wiki is good for general info and always consult it first, but some are spot on while other are pretty vague.

Also, been stung by old info or info not updated, so when in Q I always try to ask the simple Q.

After some digging around it is mentioned on the wiki here:

Be aware that upgrading items using either altar essentially creates a new item, so things like Mythic Boosts and slotted augments are wiped.

But when you know where to look, you probably already know what it is going to tell.

No, that system adds to the item you have, so you keep everything on it.

And I can confirm this is correct. I just upgraded and it retained both its mythic and reaper bonuses.
