Botched TR. Has anyone had this happened to them?

So, today I went to do a Heroic TR on one of my toons. Chose class, race, feats, skills, and appearance. Clicked on "Create" and got the text box with "Waiting". And it stood there for 10 minutes, then crashed.

Ok, no problem. Opened up the game again, and the toon appears flagged for TR. Ok then, clicked on TR, re-did the process and when I clicked on "create" this time, the text box didnt say "waiting". It said "UNKNOWN!" all caps and exclamation point included, and a little OK button to close. I closed that window, and now the CREATE button says "GET NOW" in gold, as if i was required to buy anything from the store (I own everything and VIP status is active).

Weird, right? Tried to log in with the toon instead... but no. Then I get another error message saying "This character is being saved". So all in all, that toon is blocked.

Any quick fixes?

all I can suggest is closing the client and restarting your pc and trying again. I would probably try just logging into the char not clicking the reincarnate to see if that works after restarting though.

Bugged character saving can be pain.

Try again in 1-2 hours - maybe the saving process is just computing alot. If it hanged totally you'll have to wait for a weekly server restart.

If you can't log after server restart I have bad news for you - apparently char data may be corrupted and there were cases of such toons not recoverable for years.

Is it possible your VIP subscription expired during the TR process?

Nope. Get the same message: "Your character is still being saved".

Is it possible your VIP subscription expired during the TR process?

VIP status is active, and have no problems creating new toons with the same race (in this case, aasimar) either.

Restart pc why?? the game messed up not his/her pc..

But log in on another character during the hours we have GM's available and send in a ticket and hope you get help.

server reset works but be prepared to have SOME PAIN, alot of thing will be dodgy and may need GM to solve (which means literally waiting online for ages till a GM is free enough to help you, happened to me a few years ago, my case was I was already in world on a ETR and literally lost all the destiny trees, karma(long time ago around u48-49).
With luck nothing happens and you good to go this wednesday for server restart.

I have a feeling that character is corrupted now as the game does not recognized that character as some race that you have purchased previously.

Anyhow, good luck Wednesday. As a side note if you haven't heard previously.

Have patience during reincarnation.

Don't do it hastily. Let the server saves your character's data before shutdown. Don't use "Quit", use "Logout" and wait the extra time for it to bring you to the character selection screen.
Then take a lunch break or some coffee break...

Always start with a fresh client after for the actual reincarnation.

Meanwhile, have you try logging in other worlds and create characters and see if that character got logout properly?

Have you restarted the computer as to clear the cache and restart from a clean state? i.e. there might be memory bloat going on; and who knows when the game decides to save all the loot in the bank and shared vaults.

And lastly, hopefully you are not on Ghallanda, which is known to various problems in the past.

I restarted the computer, logged onto other characters and servers... Everything is fine, except that one character stuck on the TR limbo. And I'm not really willing to TR another toon before the issue is solved, in case it happens again.

If you can log in after Wed restart check the following.
Skill, stat and all other tombs.
See if you received credit for past life.
Hopefully you still have your loot.
When this happened to me it was never made fully right and my alt became my main.

When I get stuck on log ins like this on occasion, it is usually fixed by completely exiting the game. Then log all the way back into the game on a different server, create a character on another server if needed. Exit all the way out of the game again. Restart and try to log in the character that is stuck, that usually fixes it for me. I did get stuck on a TR once and lost all my xp tomes, skill tomes, stat tomes, etc...had to get GM help on that one. When you do get back in, make sure you still have all your tomes and such.
