Black Firday sales?

Has there been any word if there are going to be any black friday sales this year?
I only have a small amount I can (unusually) spend this year and have to make a choice where to spend it, as my alternate option, a software company, has their sale ending in a couple of days, and wouldn't want to wait around and miss it if DDO doesn't have one this year !

Cordovan confirmed there will be Black Friday sales on recent DDO Podcast, but couldn't reveal any information about the specifics of it.

edit: sorry, it wasn't on podcast, it was during this weeks' wednesday downtime stream, got it mixed up.

Every year that I recall, they make the Black Friday sales available on Wednesday before Thanksgiving (before the extended holiday weekend), and never announce the details before going live.

It's usually up earlier than normal on Wednesday and good through the whole weekend. There are no specific black friday sales if prior years are a good indication. What you see on Wednesday is what you get.

I'm going to guess that they'll be posted the 23rd, and personally am hoping for some deep discounts on Isle (unlikely), Hunt (Plausible) and Saltmarsh (likely)!

A black fir does make a statement as an unconventional Christmas tree, but I dont think it deserves to have its own day...

If memory serves usually Black Friday sales are mostly confined to the website store. I think sometimes they'll put older x-packs discounted for DP, but I wouldn't assume the discounts will be nearly as steep as whatever they put on the website for real money. Typically they'll have good DP sales for random stuff (quest packs, classes, races, tomes) in December.

I'm guessing we'll see a good deal on saltmarsh , feywild, and Sharn x-packs. Maybe isle of dread at a smaller discount. Probably also a double bonus point DP sale in the very near future.

MOTU, Shadowfell, and Ravenloft have gone on sale once (or maybe twice) for 99 DP each. This was for the quests only, none of the bonus content. They may do this again if they reintroduce the free quests coupon. Fingers crossed!

There's always going to be a a sale. But since SSG flatly refuses to to tell us what they ARE ahead of time, we cannot plan and budget accordingly.
