Can we please get the option in our mail to click "Re-post" and put an item back up on the AH for the same listing as before?

It is incredibly tedious to keep these things going and it is actively in the interest of the game economy and the player base to streamline this process.

I understand they don't want infinite duration AH posts, but if we clean our mail out and click re-post on them that should be enough of a "check-in".

Bonus Objective: Have the mail tell us how many re-posts we've done so people have an indicator of when it might be time to lower a price.

Agree.

3 days maximum is far too low for a low population game. It's quite likely nobody was interested in these 3 days at all. Some item takes months to sell (dozens of reposts).

edit: increasing the shard AH posting limit for VIP would be nice, so you only need 1 auction char and not multiple

I agree with this, I've been here years and unfortunately the population feels its at its lowest point. I used to always run in parties when i first started playing the game. Nowadays on live i mainly solo (i do still put LFM's up but not many people join). The only time i play in groups now is on HC (that's why i love playing HC). It really is a shame that such an awesome game has such a low population .

They just need wipe out all AH/ASAH system and redo it from zero. Market must be like EVE Online (best market/contract system i see among all MMO).

I do like the eve AH and all but I don't know if it is thematically appropriate for ddo.

I would be happy if they just took a critical look at what exists and made some quality of life updates.

The easiest way to improve would probably just make the maximum 2 weeks or something, so 8hr, 24hr, 1 week, 2 weeks.

Doesn't help if you set the price too high, but much higher chance for potential buyers looking at your posting. Some stuff like pets sells less than 1/month even if you're pretty much the only one selling.

I think moving max from 3 days to 7 days would be a good change. I don't know about 2 weeks...that's a really long wait for a bid on an item.

I'd imagine that'd be easier for the devs than implementing an auto repost system.

I'm fine with moving it to 7 days as well, but nobody is saying "auto" repost system.

You would have to actually interact and click repost on each item. If they wanted to do automatic it would just be easier to set infinite duration, but I strongly suspect they don't want people using it as infinite storage.

Yes, manually clicking repost would be good.

Even just writing the price in the return mail would already help for reposts... "your xxx failed to sell for 20 shards" for example. Otherwise you have to keep notes for everything.

Infinite duration would probably be too many postings for for servers to handle. But it's not even that much storage, 50 slots AH (and you can't put everything there, some things will sell for 2 Million even), 20 shard and costs AS for posting.

I think they should also make it so all posted items can have a buyout as well, 3 days is fine with no buyout, but if all items have a buyout, I would support increasing the time period to a week. I say this because currently, there are some items that you cannot enable buyouts for...
