I have not tried Dino Ice Horn: Your attacks and offensive spells have a chance to freeze your target in a block of ice.
How reliable is this compared to LGS salt?

If you makes you feel any better. You can get LGS Salt on Dino weapons now.
For compairson sake, they're pretty on par with each other depending on the situation. Salt I find is more reliable though and works on everything when I want it to, but Freeze can hit multiple targets. Lower the difficulty, Freeze tends to perform better, but higher (due to higher monster saves) salt tends to perform better.
I'd go with Salt on a weapon and try and fit the encase in ice from a different source that isn't in your hands.
That said, you can prob get em both now as Dino crafted and put one in a Dino crafted minor artefact and the other in a Dino crafted Weapon.
I do recall a mouseover tooltip that did not say "spells" on similar LGS effects at various legendary named stuff, so you might come out disappointed when trying to get it for a caster.
I have used both and I'd much rather have LGS Salt because it afaik has no save where Ice does, and I believe despite the description LGS Salt has a 100% proc rate (some1 correct me if I'm wrong). But I'm playing pretty much only mid reapers and up these days at endgame and I'd agree with others that it depends on what difficulty you play. I noticed Dino Bone Ice proc'ing way more on EE and wilderness mobs where they won't be saving as much as oppossed to on reaper.

I'm assuming that the new Augments and Items are not made available for Rune trade in yet?

Invisible Fences, unkillable Target Practice Dummy's, Shared Bank's, Pale Lavender Ioun Stones, the dimensional barrier between Eberron and Shavarath, I've broken them all...
I'd like to see them to either add more of the LGS augments to the list, or make LGS accept a Sent gem. Since both have a slottable-style (as opposed to the HGS),
would restore some of the usefulness of all those LGS people worked hard to make.
And SW for alchemical weapons please n ty
