I know a lot of guilds that gender, race, height whatever doesn't matter just having fun playing. Would that be enough?

    Cheers,
    Titus.

Exactly. This is the internet. I could be a 90 year old asian binary, a 20 year old spanish lesbian, or even a... (feel free to fill in as many others that you can come up with).

Bottom line, I couldn't tell you the gender of ANY of the people I play with (nor do I care). So don't make it an issue. Find people you have fun with and go with that.
Dennis the Peasant: Listen. Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.

While I would agree that for me personally, it wouldn't matter to me - I can see the point. For people for whom it does matter - it matters a lot. My oldest kid came out as trans about two years ago - and the change it's made in their life cannot be overstated. For the first time in recent memory, they are comfortable and happy. Also, my kid associates with a lot of other LGBTQIA folks because of commonality and comfort levels. When a family member pressed them on why that was (a generational mental roadblock), my kid answered that it was because they didn't have to worry about somebody making an offhand remark that would belittle them or mock them, even unintentionally. Also, they could talk freely with others who are having similar experiences. Relax, and not worry about offending anyone or being offended. It's not about "making a fuss", it's about comfort and commonality.

Before my kid came out, I honestly wouldn't have gotten it. I do more now. Not totally - but I'm learning.

geraeldo, I honestly wish you luck in finding a place you feel at home within the DDO community. My "dad" advice would be to give other guilds a chance and see if you can find one that clicks and that accepts you for who you are. Even if it's not exclusively LGBTQIA. But, I also admit that that's me and my limited understanding talking. If it matters, it matters - and I hope nothing but the best for you in your gaming life.

As far as I have seen most guilds are pretty accepting and I haven't seen anything negative toward any group in game. But I understand trying to make sure and wish you luck and hope you have fun.

I would like to find a regular group to run with - ideally LGBTQIA but any accepting friendly group would work for me.

Yeah, I know. That is why I asked. But it would be a shame, if geraeldo would stop playing just because there is no specific guild.

    Cheers,
    Titus.

This is my posting trying to recruit LGBTQIA players to my guild - but I was not successful. Thanks anyway!
