As with all enahncements that grant feats, this is WAI. Think about it, you could easily take tabaxi DR, then Acrobat IDR, then reset Tabaxi tree. Most of the required feat prerequisites have to be taking the actual feat, even in ED trees as well.

Which would reset the acrobat tree since you no longer meet the prerequisites, like how magical training works.

I think that was an oversight and surprised it hasn’t been fixed. It’s an easy way to reset Feydark tree for free.

It's not free, to reset FI you can alternatively pay to reset the tree that grants MT instead, and then spend time to spend two trees worth of points. So it may be cheaper in plat, but if so is more time consuming.

The wiki is badly worded, it says: Nine Lives: You gain Rogue's Defensive Roll feat. If the feat wasn't intended to be granted to be improved upon, and only the effects, then it should say you gain the effects of Rogue's Defensive Roll Feat, not the feat itself.
