    Exclamation Error installing

    While installing Lamannia (on two different computers) the installer crashes at the same point on both of them.

    Error: [Name:client_map_2.dat-36987][Source:client_map

    Then it crashes and closes in a couple of seconds.

    I have turned off windows firewall and created a rule on my home firewall to allow all traffic but it still crashes at this same point.
    I have tried deleting everything and starting again.
    I have tried repairing the installation through the repair option
    I have tried installing it on a second computer (one is a AMD and the other and Intel)

    Little help please?

    I am having the same issue.. clean installs 4 times today.. still with the same result...

    Apparently SSG does not want to fix this...As it was mentioned in the official discussion as well.

    Yep stuck with the same issue too....sucks because my two mains are an Inqui/EK and T5 DC Paladin, ie the two builds getting shafted most by this update lol

    Plus I'm worried if they dont fix this issue on Lama, its going to hit Live whenever the patch is released, and then a bunch of people wont be able to play at all

    Come on dev's I took the time to troubleshoot everything I can and screenshot the error itself. The least you can do take 30 seconds is say you seen this post.

    Really?

    How long do you think people will put up with not being able to log in, and not getting a response to know if you are even working on it, or even noticed that some of your customers can't log in.

    Same problem here. I submitted a bug report with my patch logs and they at least hit the button saying they're looking at it.

    Incidentally; patch logs are located in C:\Users\%username%\Appdata\Local\Dungeons and Dragons Online the file is called PatchClient; it shows all progress/error logs in the patching process, which may be useful for the devs to identify the issue.

    I spend $166.45 per month (averaged over the last 22 months) so that's $1,997 a year on this game and have played since 2006. That's about $29,962 I have spent on it over the last 15 years.

    For that payment for service, it would be awfully nice to get a response to one of the VERY few times I have asked for help. I know I have put in less than 15 tickets so that's less than one ticket per year.

    If you can't be bothered I will have to bring my business elsewhere.

    I don't mind paying to support a game I like, but part of what I am paying for is service when I can't access the game. At least a reply to "go screw yourself" would be better than being ignored.

    It's been a week now, I think I have been patient on this.

    2000 shards were lost on my account with them closing the ticket without contacting me other than a canned message.

    I still get this error.

    I have cancelled my subscriptions and will be moving to another game.

    I don't mind supporting a game that I enjoy but when $100 in shards go missing and I can't even get help for an issue that prevents me from logging in, i have to find a better company to support.

    All 7 automatic payment agreements have been cancelled. Thanks for the years of fun.



    PS I want to make clear, this isn't due to in game issues, this was due to core issues in getting access to the game and large purchases getting lost. If I give you money for something, I expect to be able to access it.

    Also I have been waiting for YEARS for my toons to be moved on LOTRO. I have submitted a couple of tickets only to be told they are aware of the issue and it will be fixed sometime in the future. They are currently on a server they shut down so I have no access to them at all.

    Customer service gets a failing grade in both games.
