Default Event Item quality of life changes

With all the issues we have about lack of storage, etc. Why not change the way event items work. Instead of having a separate ie Endless Handwrap for levels 4,8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, 32.....make the items "Flexible". So that when you upgrade the item from say level 4 to level 8, you can still use that same item at level 4 with level 4 stats and then when you are level 8, it upgrades itself. It could be made to take far more materials to upgrade and even maybe btc for the convenience but, dear God...so many items just to have them for all the levels that you might want them for.

I think it would be a bad path to pursue.. simplest path to more usable storage... is stay focused on more storage space and better storage mechanics.

Flexible level gear... ugh .... I don't think the players could recover from the flexible level gear implementation potential for breaking everything else in the game.
Just look at track history and the current storage problems falling out from customized storage tabs breaking storage mechanics across the game.
They would have to factor in and deal every possible variant potentially affecting flexible gear.... enhancements, spell power, feats, Legendary, Epic, Heroic, Multi class, quest level, event level, augment level, filigree slotting, summoned pet, hirelings, and everything else that could possibly go bad...

There is nothing convenient about BTC.. F BTC

Personally I don't want more different forms of storage or limited crappy tabs within limited space storage, I want better centralized storage and better overall account based storage mechanics.
I want to have the centralized large storage option that would allow me to eliminate the necessity for mule toons/ alt accounts.

I would like to see an account based storage vault that holds 'thousands' of items based on the AH template and interface.
The one stop shop massive warehouse that holds everything, not the current multitude of individual specialized storage units with limited space scattered all over the place....

This would allow me to consolidate and centralize all my non-BTC items across my account instead of scattering items across the current limited individual storage buckets like alt character banks, variety pack of scattered (Augment, Filigree, Ingredient, Collectible, Soul gems, cookie jars, quivers, crafting, shards, tokens, eventshtuff, etc) bags, crafting storage box, TR cache, Mailbox, AH, alt accounts, alt guild ships, and everywhere else I can think of to squirrel things into to gather my goods.

Give me the option to get rid of mule toons, alt storage mediums to contribute towards the larger singular centralized manageable storage location.
Let me burn current storage units to contribute into the greater storage unit... trade character slots for centralized bank space, crunch purchased character slots, crunch bags for more space, crunch bank space and other storage for more centralized storage, crunch crafting storage into the centralized bank.

It would solve a lot of problems. Only Lynnabel or perhaps another developer could discuss the relative complication of such a system with authority. For some years now, named items follow the attribute progressions established for Cannith Crafting, so the table of values for such a system already exists.

I understand JOTMON's point, but I would rather collect one equipment set and wear it from 1 to 32, than have 10,000 equipment slots, collect dozens of equipment sets, and fiddle with equipment every couple levels. The one size fits all equipment set, once built, would save every single player a ton of time.

This suggestions has come up many times before. It seems unlikely to occur for a very simple reason--the people at Standing Stone Games make money by selling players new equipment. New equipment drives expansion and quest pack sales. New equipment drives astral shard sales for chest rerolls.

JOTMON's idea of endless storage is equally unlikely for the same reason. The need to store equipment drives storage expansion sales.

If you want an easier equipment system, you need to first replace the revenue stream.

Some people will now respond that the current system is short sighted and blah blah blah. Show me the money, honey.

Would love to see some of the Event Items Abilities be changed into Purple or Orange augments.

Would be great to see some Night Revels Augments with some light damage and Undead Bane.
