Default As of Today, your opinion matters!

I am very close to taking my rogue character back to epics for a long long time. Generally speaking, I'm not a micro player that has to eek out everything single point in everything and in the past of just played straight rogue and been fine with the play style it brings.

However, if you were in my rogue shoes and all the changes that have happened recently what if anything would you splash? I haven't played in epics in at least 7-8 months.

    Thanks in advance.

What difficulty level do you want to play it on?
Sometimes I pull one out just to watch it die over and over. That's how much I hate hires.

I generally play in pug's at R1 but for raids do any difficulty. I'm not a r10 player by any means.

Also still looking for info. By "take them back to epics" do you mean an ETR so you can rebuild them from the ground up, or are they 18 and nearing the end of heroics? Are they currently pure? What fighting style?

If using bow, splash 6 ranger levels.

A barb level would give you easy speed boost. Or a fighter level gives you one extra feat and you could squeeze in dodge, mobility and shot-on-the-run. Or two warlock levels lets you do Consume and Taint the Aura to debuff bosses.

What kind of "Rogue" are you? Ranged, Assassin, quarterstaff??? And what Race??? And what build??? Do you have AP to spare??? Too many variables!

If ranged, 1 Barb is hilarious speed - melee mobs simply don't catch you. (Barb 2 if 150 on-demand Hit Points and a Sprint Boost are attractive.)

If melee or ranged of any sort, Fighter 1-2 for more Feats (and, at starting levels, a +8 to hit/+8 damage boost!).

If crossbow, you could also multi- with Arti (I don't consider anything more than 2 levels "a splash", but ymmv). There is some nice synergy between Mechanic and Arti. (But if ranged, then at that point you really should be going Inquisitive.)

If you are thinking about a Dragonmark, you could dip 1 level of Wizard (early) for some key spells (Jump, Shield, plus 1 more), 1 AP Invisibility (respec if/when you think it's not worth it) and a free Metamagic - Extend for Elven Displacement, Maximize for Halfling Healing, even Quicken for Human DD (for emergency exits!).

But without knowing what you like/plan to play, this is all theory-craft guesswork. :/

    As a rogue you want:
    Abilities which pierce through fortification.
    Stuff that auto bluffs.
Be able to pop-up anywhere on the battlefield unseen.
