Too bad the +5% quality hit points cost freaking 6 points.
I wish the Strikethrough worked on Great Axes as well.

An earlier post suggested Bard as option for a Dwarf iconic. A skald-like Dwarf would be cool.
My preference would still be a battlerager barbarian, though, followed by a war priest.

I would play any of those.

I am tired of the Iconics being the "sexy races".

Gimme a Dwarven Defender or Battle Rager etc!

I have no game technical reason ...

I always loved to play elf more than the other races ... It's just personal.

I play a dwarf tank with a dwarven axe. I think strikethrough is undervalued on tanks. It's not as useful in raids, but I find it highly useful in R10 questing.

I always wished they would add Dwarven Defender lik how Elf gets Elf Arcane Archer.

My dream is to do a Dwarf Battle Cleric with Dwarven Defender attached to it.

You could always dip 3 levels of fighter or pali and get Stalwart/Sacred Defender there?

I've spent the past few days trying to come up with a good Dwarf Heavy Pickaxe build (any style) that doesn't feel gimped and isn't Kensei/Tempest/Deathnips-until-30, but couldn't come up with anything.

I wish there was support for Heavy Pickaxes, so I could play the Dwarven miner I dream of.

The upcoming Dark Hunter might be something for you.

Nah, when I think Dark Hunter I think axes or shortswords. A pickaxe isn't exactly a hunting implement :P
Plus, no real synergy between the tree and the heavy pickaxe damage profile.

Sure there is, you get a unique bonus to crit threat range with piercing weapons thanks to the T5 of Dark Hunter. But otherwise, I understand your point.

I looked up to the horizon, as far as the eye could see and did not spot any dwarfs. This checks out.

That was changed in preview 2 to: Blade Specialization: You gain a +1 Competence bonus to Critical Damage Multiplier with your weapons.

So there isn't even that :/

They're easy to overlook, typical to set your sights too high.

There are dwarves around the server I played, namely Sarlona and Orien.

Lately, my character(s) have seen fewer dwarves.

    Perhaps because:

    1) Tabaxians are always running ahead and thus blocking the view of the raid entrance(s) so that you cannot see shorter dwarves, halflings or gnomes. Maybe just not Tabaxi, other tall people too.

    2) Wings are a distraction and are blocking the view of the dwarves. Also, dwarves don't get wings, either the Red Bull ones or the pink/purple ones. Besides, fairy wings look ugly on dwarves.

    3) All dwarves have long mustaches and the mustacles are mistaken for seals. Dwarves don't have a good curvy body to show so that they won't be mistaken to be mermaids by pirates or sea travelers.

    4) Most Kundarak dwarves are flying the airships now or using Kundarak runes to travel underground through the Orien Express tubing. Unless its a magic user using a crystal ball scrying for a specific dwarf underground, its hard to find one.

    5) Dwarves do not waste time in bath, cleaning, or tidying their hairs or mustaches. They have more important mission to guard the Kundarak Vault and perhaps mining in Mines of Tethyamar. Yes, they are trying to get rich... so, we normal people don't see them running around saying "hi welcome".

I love playing Dwarves. Played a Dwarf in most of my pen and paper games. Nothing like a smack talking Dwarf, to lighten things up. Did most of my Uber completionist lives as a Dwarf. Currently playing a tactical fighter dwarven axe and shield build. Dwarves may not be the optimal class, but they are solid and they are classic DND. Hope to see some more Dwarven themed content soon.

You would see more dwarves if they bath, hiding underground they tend to not bath, thus people avoid them, just like barbs, they dont bath too, stinky stinky.

But then again you see barbs all over the place, still smell to high heaven though.

How come parties dont have a stinky debuff when they party with dwarves or barbs? Imagine the amount of plat you need to spend on the laundry when the smell sticks to you.

Dwarven barb not sure whether to rage or sulk.
Bah—just grab another flagon of ale and let the Humans prattle on.

Default unless you can be a kobold...

For some reason, my guild seems to favor dwarves
