Just seeing steams promotion of WB studios IP interface with Lego. I must say it all looks so appealing.
And easily a venue for marketing the inclusive nature, broadly appealing playable side of D&D, maybe even some building.
All the main elements of WB Properties gets some limelight. And it doesn't feel 'too full'.
All of the Marvel content looks great 'Lego'd'. Dr. Strange should be a template for introducing magic-wielding things in the D&D realm.
And D&D is not bound to certain characters, thus binding the variety of things, and subjects to expound.
Utilizing the new 'archetype' elements being introduced here. Showcasing the class more than the person.
And using that as the driving narrative to introduce class types in D&D.
I think DDO and D&D both are leaving so much on the table with not embracing steam, or at least making the best of it work for you/us.
Take from it everything, but give it nothing.
The Lego content is super likable, and steam has a broad reach. Taking it over for a weekend to 're-introduce' D&D to that gaming segment would be a good thing.
Having Lego'fied' versions of the archetypes, and singular IP content would be a good thing.
Making backgrounds for steam, having all the RP die set as D&D emotes before another company does it. The original hardbacks and box sets as backgrounds. An ode to Gary??!
There is SOOOOOOOOO much that D&D properties could be doing for exposure. How is it even that DDO and D&D Beyond are not even linked??!? Much less affiliated in some manner? Why is it that D&D in particular seems so blase about connections and networking, relying solely on word-of-mouth, etc.?? D&D is never out there promoting itself, or now the separate elements working in unison for the advancement of the IP.
Steam Avatars of the main classes at least, chat effects, how about Magic Missile as a chat effect?
Avatar borders, profile themes, a STEAM D&D profile showcase(be a thought leader), the generalized profile 'themes' with color and opacity, etc.
We could have a specific special D&D themed profile package.
Forum avatars could be used on Steam, in fact I am going to that right now.
man, when are we gonna get to paste images into threads in this forum? https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198347524197/
