Well, I have 5000 runes after all, no real pain there actually, just talking drop rates.

5000 Runes / 1250 per item = 4 Raid Items of my choosing.

I like this better than the 20th list, it is one reason that I like to run that Raid 1-2 times while in Epics since update 50.

Quests have standard 33% elite / reaper drop rates. Of course you do not get 43% drop rates in quests

Raids have really low drop rates 2% something like that, and of course they do not get +10% on top. That would be way higher than any raid drop rate

Edit: Technically they might help for Normal / Hard, but for regular named items, you are likely already on Elite+. Possible use case if you already used one, and don't want anything from Wilderness zones, Zerg ToEE on Hard for new Augments perhaps
Incorrect discovery boosts drop rate of named item in all chests that drop named items

20th doesn't work for me because I usually TR after picking up a couple reaper points at Cap. The runes are great for me though, pickup more every life on a few runs between 20-32. Good to know on 20th if I do end up hanging out at Cap longer.

More math if interested: Elixer of Discovery, if it does indeed give 43% drop rate, not certain on that point, I just bring guildies to improve drop rates on stuff like that.

You have a 43% Chance on the Reach for the Sky Chest to be Disappointed 85% of the time (since 6 items drop there). I am not certain whether this changes anything for anyone, but, 33% chance to be 85% disappointed vs 43% chance to be 85% disappointed, but thought I would share.

It does increase the drop rate of named items that was confirmed when it was released

    They come in 5,10,15% boost

As far as what items you get is still based on chance

38, 43, or 58% chance of getting trash loot 98% of the time, or those same chances to get something useless 85% of the time. That Klaus, it just doesn't even occur to you to think in those terms to begin with. He was an eccentric after all. Thanks for clarifying.

Has nothing to do with your referenced

38,43,48 % chance to get a named item that’s on Elite

    Reaper increases that as well

You should definitely not get into gambling if you think a "chance" at something is a "guarantee."

Sands is weird. I also end up buying with runes rather than actually looting the item I need from the raid itself. From the amount of times I've run it I think the 33% named item drops is correct, it's just that the named item pool also includes all of the items that drop from the wilderness rares. I don't want another coronation shield thanks.
Now that you can also get the wilderness items items from handing in bronze tokens it's somewhat frustrating.
