It does not, although we strongly considered it. However, there's a concern that the community on Hardcore would not be receptive to a weekend of bonuses like this as it does directly go against our stated rule of "no bonuses on Hardcore". It'd be good to know if, in the future, players want these weekly bonuses on the Hardcore server.

So how about extending the bonuses to a week or two? You guys could use a little goodwill. There's a lot of angst right now, it doesn't cost you anything, but gains you a LOT.

As a Hardcore player, I would have loved if this applied to Hardcore, since the extra bonuses are I assume because of the extended downtime and rollback.

So for us playing on hardcire our progress is gone, no compensation.
Makes no sense, it's the server with the least amount of trd characters (and tr caches).

Yeah that will make up for the screw up that lost me the sword of shadows I spent years farming to earn and finally have drop only to have it lost to rollback. I really feel motivated to spend money again and renew my vip that expires next month. I'm sure no one is upset about the rushed out pile of garbage this last update that was full of bugs reported to you before you pushed it out yet did nothing to fix beforehand. Yall couldn't even pump the exp to 100% and give us a full week of it.

You can get the old raid items for the runes that drop in the respective raids. Has been like this since U50.

A lot of HC players weren't receptive to the U56 nerfs smack in the middle of the season but that certainly didn't stop you.

Why suddenly start caring what players think now? At least this would be a beneficial change to them.

Personally, I feel it would greatly depend on what the bonus was. I'd have been in favor of this one 100%. I'd have had no reservation because it helps make up for the lost-progress (4->downtime, uptime +1h), which is a pretty hefty playtime chunk for some people. Unlike the festival, this couldn't be used to grief other players. Unlike +XP, it doesn't make it take less time to get to 20. Perhaps a poll for the future?
I do think that it would have been helpful to state 'except Hardcore' in the initial post.

I also lost the money i used to buy points and the points and items (exp and slayer pots.) So the extra slap on the face after losing the sword of shadows when I realized I lost my DDO points too.

Sorry to hear that friend i think I would throw out some very bad comments of I lost some big bucks.

This would be a gesture of good will IF it was only a down time issue. The roll back completely invalidated a number of milestones people achieved, loot pullled (reaper based items), time wasted to work out what was the last quest that actually counted AND to have to have to run them again. Recrafting of items. Hint crafting is not the most fun part of the game. Timing of using up xp pots so that they are not being burned up on raid day.

I get that to fix your problem that impacted a large number of players you needed to to a roll back. This however has impacted a large number of players. I really look forward to working out what part of the chain I am missing from my Feywild r10s and after quests and getting that 200k reaper xp back- doing part of a chain bites. I am really looking forward to burning my xp pot in raids on my tank. I am really looking foward to recrafting my items again on my artiificer.

However, the rollback did impact negatively impact on those doing HC 5k run, by nuking earned progression. As one of our HC team players suggested, perhaps reduce the requirements for 5k favor by 500 for the same duration as the xp benefit on live.

It's not necessarily a "bonus" as it were, as what's considered with a benefit to xp..

As long as it's incorporated where everyone can benefit equally, from the get-go.

In this particular case, this late in the season it would probably not go over well with those holding high positions on the leaderboards.

They already said they will be refunding the points lost. Also years farming SoS? If you didn't know, you just need to run it 10 times on EE and buy it with the runes you get.

It was not HC I was talking about its Kyber, I don't give a rats about HC.

I had knocked out 3 reaper points and change that day to hit 50 points to buy the reaper hat I had saved up for on my tank. Now I am short a couple of hundered k reaper xp and hat is back to normal, got shards back but time and effort wasted on something that had already been achieved. xp pots still running means wasted in raids.

thanks for fixing the servers and providing some juicy bonus days.
you prolly should extend those bonuses by 1-2 days, since some players do not have the chance to play during the weekends, including me.

or - instead of compensating serverdown time and erased play time (aka rollback) with bonuses, some goodies ingame to every player would hit the mark better, since everyone can enjoy these, while not all of the affected players will be able to use the bonus days

To be fair, the ability to buy a SoS by running Von 10 times is relatively recent. He could've gotten it old school, which for many took years of farming. Come to think of it, the whole buying it now -which could be done in a day with alts- kinda adds salt in the wound. Like a salt factory amount of salt in the wound. :P

Yep. One of my guild members ran Von over 125 times, and never got a shard of the sword of shadow. We ran VON just before the s/s/s switch, and for the 2nd time, he was involved in a dice off for a shard (and lost). But he was over the moon about the exchange of mat system.

Seen so many players like that over the years.

I really don't think you know, or care, about how bad a rollback is to those who have devoted time and effort in HCL, or the cove, or anywhere else for that matter.

The apathy of this company's development staff (and I use that term VERY lightly!) towards its player base is equally appalling and unbelievable.
