Default Isle of Dread farming is alot of work

I am farming for an Isle of Dread end game set with 2 attuned weapons, 1 cloak, 1 minor artifact and 1 named item.

Getting the two attuned weapons and the cloak means running the raid many items. As the raid has so very many items getting the ones you want as drops doesnt happen that often so its mostly farming the runes.

Earlier I farmed the T-rex while is was easy and the 2 crest named. I was 2-3 boxing ransacking both for several weeks so I now have 1100ish black pearls which is more than enough. I wonder though how much time that would take for someone that cant solo these spawns (and the T-rex is much harder now) with just 1 character.

I am also farming fossiled ings. I am 4 boxing a couple of rares near the Up River port in spot. I figure I can loot 50 chests in an hour - but it is still pretty slow going.

Overall, I consider the farming a bit excessive. I am going to do once maybe twice but after that I doubt I will farm for a 3rd build - and thats with a raid guild and the ability to multi-box while the raid is new. Late comers and those that use PUGs for raids will have a really hard time I expect.

Maybe I am just blowing smoke, too lazy or something even less flattering but I find the Isle of Dread gear system excessively heavy on farming in a boring way. Maybe even more so than old slavers!

While I agree that isle is definitely a lot of farming... It's way nicer than slavers.

I'd also like to point out that it's a huge change of pace as well with the fact that you get to change quests every 5-10 minutes imayne quicker depending on how fast you're zooming. Where as slavers felt and still feels like and endless eternal quest that never ends.

My only real compliment and I've beaten several dead horses on this (the pile is only growing and growing) it's so STUPID SND RIDICULOUS that blanks drop from the raid. They should drop from the quests. Why release an expansion and then make it so you can craft on artifacts but not blanks. That screwed me so freaking hard for so long.... Yet another prime example of devs not playing the game they are "designing".

I found doing a single ransack run of the rares would average 50+ pearls (8 runs of the dual crest demon and getting whatever other rares showed up in that course) good helping of ings, food blanks and other named items. If a person is unable to solo it they can likely get an group up for it. If the content is fun then the farm should be fun too, much a preference thing. Farming also tends to be more bearable when progress is "guaranteed." Crest demon is always there and ings always drop. Raid Runes helped a lot with getting raid items in the same way. Farming for Dread stuff does not seem bad at all unless you just don't enjoy the content.

I will never forget stopping TR train to get a Quiver, 60 elite runs (three 20th turn ins) and did not get it. This was before Raid Timer Bypass Hourglasses were a thing so that was half a year: the irony on how much Quiver slowed me down. Fortunately I love Accursed Ascension so I had a blast the whole time.

I agree that the farming should have been at least 25% easier.

My bigger problem is that the stuff just isn't a clear upgrade from the existing ML29/30 gear. So its not such a huge farming challenge, it just... isn't worth the effort.

For every build it is a clear upgrade.
