Bracers of the Demon Consort have the hidden effect "Demonic Drain" (neg.level on user). This life, I've worn the heroic bracers and also epic ones for ~15 levels and this effect is pretty debilitating. In regular questing, I usually accrued 0 to 3 negative levels. In the VoD raid with a lot of incoming damage, I went up to 7 neg.levels (and some have already expired) before I decided to unequip the item.

There's no power benefit for wearing this "cursed". The other guards are fairly marginal - if working at all. I have never seen the Demonic Curse proc for example.

This item has flavor and deserves some balancing action (upwards).
