No problem, I rebooted, logged back on well before 3 minutes, plenty of time to beat the hound - and I was already in the LoLS.

Well that's horrible. I, too, am wondering what killed you. Hmmm, maybe underwater action turns off when you disconnect suddenly and you drowned before the game "kicked" you out of the world? Easy to test with a party friend. Just go underwater with equipped UA on, pull the power cord. Have friend tell you what happens when you get back.

same day ..i died tripped by lions in the windmill feywild quest (i was lvl30 at R4 diff with full party 'ofc nobody healed me in time' sigh , trying to get those **** 20 reaper points).

i am done too... but let me rant a bit:

If i think of all the time i wasted to do some reaper, trying to gather groups to do it, trying
to cap to have a better performance to do reaper, i would get mad
All the time to wait a group to do a quest, a simple **** quest. hours of hours wasted.

After the initial fun i must say that this Hardcore season was a pure disaster.
So sick of it that i won't do another HCL for sure. expecially with these features (hound and 2 level restrictions).
It's not only the difficulty to survive, it's the impossible mission to find a party available when you log in.
I don't even want to talk about levelling.. at level 20 i thought was easy to reach level 30... i was wrong !
It was worse than level 1-20 because you can't find people !!! I was forced to solo almost time !!

You said you were soloing. Did you have any type of hire lingerie at the time? Just curious regarding the DC mechanic. I had something similar, but was fortunate to survive the login at I was at 30hp.

My power company is trying to kill me, too. Couple times a day we get this fraction-of-a-second blink on our rural grid that is just enough to make my computer blink and minimize everything. Usually when I'm in a combat, tho only once with a Hound incoming - so far.

Condolences on that death.

It sucks dying to something out of your control. A death by other means can be swallowed more easily I feel.

I have no problem with the tougher challenges of this season - they simply made Hardcore more "hard core", raising the bar so it's even tougher to clear it, and I'm good with that. Those who succeed will value it more.

That said, at the moment I feel I won't participate next season. Not because I'm bitter - I'm not angry, just disappointed at the bad luck - but because I do not want my success/failure based on an unrelated hardware hiccup. I guess frustration at the rules interpretation, as implemented, would be the closest description.

I feel that if I DC I should not die. If the game disagrees with me, I'll take the same advice I've given so many others and simply not play that particular game. Might change my mind by that time, but for now... nupe.

I am very sorry. That is just horrible.

For the last month or two, I experience significantly more lag type stuff than usual. Sometimes it hits right at the start of a fight. My character freezes but I keep swinging and throwing heals until everything updates. Usually, my character ends up completely surrounded with half her hit points gone. Now that I am in a real guild, I know other people experience the exact same thing at the exact same time. For the longest time I thought it was just me. It is a complete mystery to me how anyone can stay alive at higher difficulties.

Sorry to hear this - terrible luck. Yeah, I've been stuck in a loading screen leaving the quest several times and with the right set of bad luck could easily die to that.

When soloing on hardcore I tend to pack the level 8, 12, 15 or 19 nuking fvs starting at level 8. They are all overly aggressive with both offense and healing and might be able to keep me alive if I dc. Or you can go with heystack who will hit mobs with his mace for 2 damage when you are at 5 hp.
