    Default New epic feat ; Master of Ki

    While ki bolt, ki incineration & the new ki explosion have been boosted to be useful during levelling & have their place in epics, their functionality still tails off significantly at very high levels which is a shame, since they look very cool & have a nice function otherwise. I'd like to suggest a new feat;

    Master of Ki: ML24 - your ki bolt, ki incineration & ki explosion now scale with 500% melee power. You also gain +2 passive ki generation

    I figure this would be pretty much in line with the other Master Of.... feats since they grant +10 max caster levels to their specified spells, making those low level spells (and SLAs) continue to be a solid part of the rotation in the higher levels. The addition of passive ki generation will be analagous to the extra spellpoints & have the function of increasing the maximum stable ki too.
    I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was, now what's it is weird and scary to me.

    I really like your suggestion. Your numbers could use some tweaking, like 500% should probably be 400% (double it, from 200%) and the passive ki just +1, there's really no need for more, you will always have a full yellow bar anyway.

    But, I came to this section of the forum to make my own suggestion, so here it is:
    Update Improved Martial Arts feat to allow Sacred Fist 12+ to take it.

    Monk isn't the only class with Flurry of Blows anymore. Furthermore there's nothing better to take from the rest of the epic feats. My plan right now, for a Sacred Fist, has "Great Charisma" as level24 feat which is a shame.

    Generally speaking, Ki-magic is just a bad mechanic. It breaks the flow of attacks, it needs attacks to be build on, the levels they would be OKish damage wise are those where you can't use them because of a lack of ki, and each feat you take from them takes away from the stuff you usually want from your build (well, Quicken mostly).

    I don't think a level 24 feat will make me think "Man, worth to break my attack flow to do that damage", as in the same time I cast the spell I usually land 3-4 hits that each do the same damage. Maybe tying scaling or increased base damage due to combat style feats (THF and TWF) may solve the issue, or just make the spells really powerful in return for a long cooldown, so that they can be used as fight openers with decent damage, instead of attack interrupters.



    And I agree, Improved Martial artist should work for Sacred Fists and Razor Claws as well. I know the level restrict is there to discourage multiclassing, but it really hampers the builds.
    Nothing in this game is essential, unless you are a power-gaming & unimaginative lemming who follows everyone else, without having any form of creativity or original thought rolling around your brainpain...
