Keeping secrets

Why is it some people want to keep it a secret that the hound is on them?

If they know the hound is on them (and everyone should know how to tell if the hound is about to arrive and is on them, certainly by the time they are level 5) they should say something if they have voice chat or type in party chat that the hound is on them so that the rest of the party can prepare.

I agree that in a perfect group, you would like to have 100% communication.

Of course your entire premise is relies heavily on the assumption that all players understand the basic mechanics of not only the Hounds in HC, but also the basic mechanics of the game.

And may I say when I first grouped, everyone I grouped with typed "H" or "H on me". Of course I assumed they meant Ham, but quickly realized that they meant hound.
