Can we introduce LR+0 hearts for eg. 40 Tokens of the twelve?

Swapping between base class and it's archetype introduces new form of respeccing we'd like to have on table for f2p players.

Currently f2p can respec feats (plat + siberys dragonshards at fred), enhancement/ED trees (plat), abilities at certain point (when doing ETR) - why not add Archetype <-> base class to this pool.

PS. Not asking for LR+1 it's totally different story, but +0?

How about HC transfers? Since last down time cannot transfer.

Tiefling Scoundrel gets Level 1 in (Standard) Bard, and not Stormsinger. Character Creation is not equipped to handle switching off of that properly (outside of Lesser Reincarnation, where you can use a Class Swap).

Some players found a method of manipulating the Character Creation UI into making a Iconic that should be locked to its Level 1 class use an Archetype in place of it. This method allowed some characters through the character creation process, but as Character Creation is not properly equipped to handle that situation, some class features can come up missing. We have fixed the UI bug that allowed players to make a character in that state.

Outside of making/TR'ing into a Level 1 Iconic, situations where they've always been restricted to Level 1 in their intended class, Iconics are not restricted from taking or LR'ing into Archetype levels; they work like any other character in that regard. You can use an LR+0 to swap Standard class levels into Archetype levels of the same class, you can take Archetype levels when you normally would be able to. The change here only fixes a specific UI issue in Character Creation that could cause character problems.

(Before it comes up: There's certainly merit to thinking that Iconics could work differently with regards to their initial required class level. That said, until we reach a time where that's changed, we have to ensure the current system works, hence this bugfix).

No plans for any changes to existing characters. As said above, most Iconics who have taken Archetype levels are working as intended. Those who have made it through under this bug won't be changed, though they may need to LR to properly gain the full benefits of whatever Archetype they took.

LEt me ask you a simple question:

If I create an iconic bladeforged, use LR+0 to swap for sacred fist, then level to 30, and will do epic reincarnation, will I be forced to take a standard paladin level, or will I be able to contiunue as SF?
In other words: do you need to use +0 heart after each epic reincarnation to retain archetype?

Am I reading this right? All the stuff I moved into new Tabs will be moved back!?! I spent MANY MANY HOURS over the last few days getting things the way I wanted them. I fixed 12 of my 21 characters. Made 45 total Tabs (I just counted them all). And that was all for nothing?! I hope that's not the case. Surely you could find a way to make this fix and then move the items back into the tabs we've made. Surely that's possible if you just took the time to do it right.
It doesn't work that way. When you alter the way a function of a system (bank tabs) works (by basically re-coding it), you can no longer use the data from the old system as it is no longer applicable to the new system.

It sucks but that is what you get for investing a lot of time into a "New" system. Just ask the members of the Windows Insiders (of which I am one). Wait until it is out for a while to make any real investment in time. All systems are released with bugs, some serious, some trivial. It happens everywhere.

    Posted in another thread:

Whether you used the broken method at character creation or use the approved LR method (tested this), you still end up missing the level 1 Path of Light deity feat as a Bladeforged Sacred Fist. You can still choose Lord of Blades at level 3 or later, however. You're also still autogranted the level 6 Path of Light Deity feat. This is a result of Bladeforged being forced to choose Lord of Blades as a deity coming into conflict with level 1 Sacred Fists being autogranted the Path of Light deity at level 1. Not sure they can fix this without reworking how Bladeforged work. For other races, you can safely have more than one deity by multiclassing into additional divine classes.

Morninglords have no problems with multiclassing into Sacred Fist. But they may have the same problem as Bladeforged if they use an +1 LR to switch their base class to Sacred Fist.

It's important because players are using store items and paid resources to accomplish what you are describing and they should know the rules up front.

I disagree based on my experiences talking to other players, who were all unclear. This is especially true with published documentation.
I'd much rather they err on the side of over-communication. Just lay it all out: examples; exceptions; and rules included, and it will be more helpful to the audience.

Thank you.. It wasnt my intention to be trying some exploit.. I just thought we could be iconic arch types.. which we can, you just have to do it the right way.. and that is like you said.. LR+0 would allow me as a Bladeforge Pally to LR+0 and now gain Follow the Light Feat which a Bladeforge could not get at level one because of the deity being the bladeforge one. Thanks for fixing it so we can get Follower of Light now.

This is still bugged for Bladeforged even if you use a +0 LR. Bladeforged are forced to take Lord of Blades as a deity but are not autogranted it. Sacred Fists are autogranted Path of Light deity at level 1. These two things clash. You don't get the Path of Light deity feat at level 1 (and thus no handwraps proficiency or favored weapon) but you do get the option to take Lord of Blades as a deity edit: with a regular feat slot. You also still get the Level 6 Path of Light deity feat autogranted. It's a weird buggy situation still.

Another edit: Morninglords will probably have the same problem if they use a +1 LR to change their base class to Sacred Flame.

What about transfers to other servers? For the past several days I've been trying to move a hardcore character to Orien and it keeps saying it's encountered an error.

I just tried it again after the downtime and it's still giving an error.

Yes, I don't even have lam installed on this pc.

I just tried a third time since the downtime. This time I logged the character on and back off again first. I still got an error.

I have been getting regular client crashes with even viewer giving me:

I have only seen these since I started running my second Sacred Fist life. My first Sacred Fist life had no issues like this. These crashes were also occurring before today's update. In the span of the last 90 minutes of play I have had around 7 crashes to desktop with no obvious common factor. Some things I have been doing have been:

Running up to an ooze to fight it (2 crashes)
Opening the Character sheet to view my paladin feats
Speaking to the STK quest giver to get my end reward
    Fighting some hobgoblins
Two other crashes have just been when running though a dungeon with nothing obvious.

My Sacred Fist has just taken 4th level and is an Aasimar Male if that is of interest. Windows 11

Dissapointed that not all bank bugs were fixed as well as no mention of inventory performance issues.

I hope that the new underlying inventory architecture is good for the future - I’d hate to have to go through this again at some point.

Thanks for fixing the stuff you did.

Post update, buffs still show double (or triple) at least some of the time (with Hide Guild Buffs active).

For example, my level 30 Paladin currently shows (left to right):
    Aura of Courage
    Aura of Good
    City Regeneration
    Guild Buffs
    Deathblock
    Sacred Defense
    Champion of Good
    Fear Immunity
    Curse Ward
    Holy Sword
    Sacred Defense (a repeat)
    Champion of Good (a repeat)
    Curse Ward (a repeat)
    Fear Immunity (a repeat)
    Aura of Courage (a repeat)
    Aura of Good (a repeat)
    Guild Buffs (a repeat)
    Curse Ward (a repeat)
    Holy Sword (a repeat)
    Deathblock (a repeat)

My avatar, level 15 rogue, shows (left to right):
    Tavern Regeneration
    Deathblock
    Fear Immunity
    Guild Buffs
    Deathblock (a repeat)
    Fear Immunity (a repeat)
    Guild Buffs (a repeat)

Double logging into chat rooms still occurs. For example:
(UserChat1): You joined room 'BABH' (UserChat1). Number of members: 1.
(UserChat1): You joined room 'BABH' (UserChat1). Number of members: 1.

    .....

Let's gamble. Momma wants her some sun flasks... *pulls up Gold Daily Dice*
(Standard): You obtain 8000 Experience Points, and 5 Gold Seal Elixirs of Superior Healing.
(Standard): You rolled 61 on your Daily Dice and earned a Boosts & Buffs prize!

Huh. Well, I did not need those 15 Astral Shards anyway for something like a useful Augment or a Large Collectable Bag that my new characters really need.

    .....

Huh. How come all the spells on my sister (she's a wizard) are greyed out? *checks spell book* That's okay. Weird. Better fix that.

    .....

My sister wants to gamble, too.
(Standard): You obtain 10000 Experience Points, and a Long Lasting Potion of 15 Magical Resistance.
(Standard): You rolled 82 on your Daily Dice and earned a Improved Boosts prize!

    Bummer.

    .....

My mother wants to give it a try.
(Standard): You obtain 6000 Experience Points, and 500 Omnispell Dust.
(Standard): You rolled 50 on your Daily Dice and earned a Questing Tools prize!

Well. What was that? About $3 US wasted? I suppose I should have bought another skein of yarn for Joann's instead. Oh well.

For what it is worth, my mother, who is a bard, did not lose all her spells. Both my sister and mother have double buffs showing.

I wonder if Expeditious Chant x2 allows my mom to run really fast, now. ... ... Nope. Too bad. She would have liked that.

Truly sad that devs cannot clarify and this has to come from the player base. So I guess Steel’s explanation carry less than a grain of salt.
