True Reincarnation Issue: DO NOT TR with Items in Custom Tabs in the Character Bank

We are investigating a bug causing items to become invisible if a character undergoes a True Reincarnation with items in custom Character Bank tabs. These items will be returned in the future, but this issue can be avoided by deleting your custom Character Bank Tabs, which will populate the items inside into your Main tab.

This may be a naive comment: wouldn't this be something tested before the release of the update and expected to be discovered and fixed in advance?

At this point, it would be more surprising if they actually did test and fix this stuff before shoving it out the door. Been that way for years now ever since they cut their CS and QA staffs.

I thought that was because (even after 17 years of construction), you still keep glitching back at the bottom of those stairs. Eventually, you just give up and put the toilet there.

I'm pretty sure I remember the Devs saying at one time the reason we couldn't get more personal bank space was the code was so messed up it would be nearly impossible to do, Yet they temp fate by doing these useless tabs. I personally think they should have just left the banks alone unless it was for added bank space.

It also seems risky to alter the bank without thoroughly testing it given the problems with lag that the game has faced.

Yes, I’ve been here since stress test beta and I know that it seems like the philosophy is Change Now, Fix Later; but I also know SSG is a group of good people who really care about the game. With a new Producer on board, I was hoping they would learn from the past and avoid some of these issues. Having a head of QC and testing changes thoroughly, or just going over the Lamania data and delaying releases until things look OK could both help. Of course this is probably easier said than done.

TR'd a toon yesterday and got mail today that makes no sense. Said due to a TR bug items were being replaced they included 4 +1 skill tomes despite all my tomes being +2-4 and all showing at +2 @ lvl 2, legendary guild renowns and a small stack of Saltmeadow Hay. The TR had no issues that i can visibily see and i definitely wasn't missing any of those items unless i lost all my +3-4 tomes and cant see yet.

They couldn't do it with the old system for that reason; the only reason they didn't do *this* earlier was because last time they tried it there was such a huge outcry (this was before the shared bank had all the searching & sorting options). There's going to be added bank space (although it will be purchased, not given).

it was on the NEVER UPDATE LIST. but. at least they are having a go. and will get it sorted. just hey. where does this tag in the code lead and what does it actualy do. the ppl that knew that got sacked by time warner 10 or more years ago
give the devs a chance. they are trying hard to do what we ask.

It was , and I made a video of it on my twitch stream and posted about the bug on Lammania Forums, it was addressed, so they knew about a bug with TR cache and reincarnation. But the actual bug was, if you put items into custom tabs in your TR cache, and then closed out the TR cache, and went to go TR, it said you must clear out your TR cache before you can TR.. So if you go back to the bank, and open everything.. your TR cache is gone, because you emptied it.. even though you had items in the custom TR cache tabs. So the game thinks you still have items.. which you technically do because they are in the TR cache custom tabs..
They should have never messed with this.. Its a good idea, but were talking about a dated game, with lots of old code...
