I do agree with the naysayers that SSG's management of DDO is often unacceptable but come on, there are many other things to do if you ever get sick of the situation.
The problem with this is that regression testing exists. Or should exist. Every competent software company does it. If new changes are made, then regression testing MUST be undertaken to ensure no critical problems exist. Also, 99% of these bugs which were found, should've been found if SSG were doing basic testing.
Additionally, some of these bugs were reported in Lamma, but ignored.
At any rate, it's not like the player base is constantly clamoring for new updates. Especially when they're all broken like U56 or U55 were. Pretty much every veteran players who's been around the block, agrees at this point that we'd rather have longer times between updates if it means smoother rollouts and higher quality deliverables. But instead, SSG seems to be dead set on rushing out half-baked updates. This goes hand-in-hand with them being completely out-of-touch with what the players want. They have their own agenda and don't care about what their customers want.
If you like it then cool, more power to you, but I don't want to financially support a business model like that anymore.
