    Default New Bank Tabs

    Am I missing something obvious?

I can create new bank tabs but can't move anything into the new tab from the main bank tab. Not a problem for the Character bank as I can pop stuff into inventory then drag back to the open tab I want them, but this can't be done for the Reincarnation cache.

For the main bank the inability to move items by dropping them from the bank onto another tab in the bank is a bug according to Cordovan. The workaround is moving from the bank to your inventory and then back to the new tab, which works.

For the TR cache the process will have to take place all in the cache as items removed cannot be put back. Presumably the same bug preventing tab to tab in the main bank is at work in the TR cache as well. The fix should resolve both.

the reincarnation cashe is able to store and sort and create tabs but because you have to pull the item into character inventory to place it in a tab folder you cant place it in the sort tab in the TR because you can reuse the storage .
remove the tab ability of the tr bank.

Correct. It may be a bit before we have the functionality back, as it is fairly complex troubleshooting, but the intention is to eventually not have to use your inventory as a middle-step. However, for today and until we get this functionality working correctly, players will have to use their inventory to temporarily contain items while moving them from one bank to another, or from one tab to another.
Have fun, and don't forget to gather for buffs!

Speaking of character inventory, will this custom named tab feature eventually be rolled out for character inventory as well. I'm hoping the answer is YES! Best UI feature ever IMHO

Oh, gods, no. Please don't make it any worse than it already is. HARD NO VOTE on this idea. I can barely stand it on my character bank space, but if I lose the ability to keep my nicely placed and sorted gear that I am carrying around I may murder somebody.

How on earth do you keep it nicely sorted? Every time you equip and unequip something, it messes up the organization a bit further. The custom tabs provide the same functionality as existing tabs but with more flexibility to it for an arbitrary # of different sized tabs that you can now label. You also no longer would have to mouse over every single item separately to see the name of it, a massive improvement by itself. The only thing different is the look.

Was looking forward to the new personal storage as it's supposed to be a precursor to expanding capacity eventually. Then I saw it live. What a bummer.

I can see 2 items each in my personal and shared storage. (Didn't think to grab a screenie. ...yet.)

My addition to the few posts above mine - hells no to changing backpack inventory to this mess of a setup.

I don't know what you guys are smoking. This way of organizing inventory / space is an order of magnitude improvement lol. I had zero issues other than the well known one discussed about moving between tabs. once that is fixed, this will be the best UI improvement I've ever seen in the game hands down.

Ya know, if they'd actually put up some more slots to buy, that probably would have gotten them some goodwill in this mess.

My question is, how could you NOT keep it organized? My bank had three tabs- first was for things I am collecting, second for weapons and third for armor. My backpacks all have the first and second tabs for loot, the third tab for scrolls and potions, fourth for spellmats, clickies, and bags, and the fifth for gear. The only time it gets messed up is if I need to switch between three or more weapons in one quest and then its a relatively simple task to stick them back. You complain you had to scroll over things, but now you have to scroll down a list. Further, if you LIKE the list view, you an already choose that option for your backpack.

For those with 4K monitors and a couple acres of screen space, okay. For some of us, this is what we get with the new thing....

I say this as a rabid pack-rat who looks forward to buying more space when it happens. (This is my HC char, or else the Shared would already be 270/270)

For me, the idea of a new system that would allow more space was a dream, but in actual use is coming up short on utility & convenience.

The only real issue I see with the new bank UI is that it will make playing DDO on the Steam Deck really painful. Not a lot of real estate on a 7" diagonal.

You already have this functionality on your inventory window. You can sort by item type (weapon/armor/jewelry/clothing/wands/potions/misc (ie augments/kits/etc.), locked/unlocked status, etc. What more would you need?

Sorting and filter is on Inventory. Custom Tabs are not. The current tab model doesn't work well for things that are not in groups of twenty and if you leave space i a tab, things you pick up can end up in that tab. Custom tabs would make that alternate interface far more useful as the list format requires using the filtering which might not be as quick as goign to your tab that only has spell components.

So just lock your spell components and go to the Misc tab with the locked only option selected. Do you really want them to try and alter things that already work? Think of what could happen. It isn't broken, don't fix it.

scrolling over things 1 at a time is far inferior to having a big list where you can see the names of 20 or so items at a time. NO COMPARISON. And the current inventory does not have custom tabs, they are simply fixed categories. Not the same

well why are you stacking those vertically when it clearly would be more efficient to set them side by side. Maybe if they allowed collapsing the options section, it wouldn't be as intrusive on a smaller screen.

I want the custom named tabs, and an arbitrary # of them. The way I organize I need different tabs the way that makes sense to me, and I want more of them. And actually, my new custom tabs even differ from 1 character to another in their banks. This flexibility is far underrated.
