Default Huge nerf to Aasimar !

'Aasimar and Scourge Core 3 no longer provides a bonus to Healing Hands charges.'
'Aasimar and Scourge Core 5 no longer provides a recharge ability to Healing Hands charges, and also now provides +2 healing hands charges.'

**** SSG why the huge nerfbat? This is an overdone nerf, going too far in 1 fell swoop. No only did Aasimar lose almost half their charges but no more recharging? This is BS & should be scaled back. Reinstate the recharging.

This is BS. I don't see the need for such a nerf. It didn't seem overpowered. Ugh.

2/3 on HC6 was aasimar and half of them was FVS, it shows it is not overpowered, doesn't it?

Even if that was true (since you didn’t post a source) by that logic, if 2/3 of the people were undead then you just nerf palemaster? What if it was alchemist, Druid, or cleric? Casters are just easier to play on HC and have the best heals.

What a good idea to balance the game around Hardcore, temporary server.

Maybe if balance is necessary in HC, why not just nerf there or remove the ability.

Stop using hardcore as a reason to nerf. It’s not even the same game as live.

    Default HC Reality

    2/3, and Half? .... LOL

Last time we saw a pile THAT deep, the guy was talking about 50 different lands picking the wrong king. ) ..../*cough*.

    ...............................

On the actual side of reality, that was a pretty big hammer to builds that wanted some backup healing.

Actually, it makes a ton of sense to use HC data to make balance changes. Why?
    • At the start of Hardcore, everyone starts the same, no tomes, no PLs, no gear, etc.
    • No character on HC is made to farm a specific PL, which puts a huge factor of live server data aside
    • HC is full with veteran players though, who know what you want to survive through the game
    • If a build becomes overly used on HC, then probably because it works better than all similar builds
    • While HC does have some bias (like how players will prioritize survivability more than usual), you get a good look at what kinds of builds gets to what reward, which does give a lot of insight of fundamentals in character building
    • It also gives great insight which quests are seldom run or have the highest kill count and if it should be revisited

Not that I like that change. Would have liked it more, if Healing Hands would have just baked into Lay on Hands (first core one charge and CHA or WIS based LoH; 3rd and 5th core one more charge) so that it get people through heroics as emergency heal only, while it would synergize better with Unyielding Sentinel and Filirees in epics.
Nothing in this game is essential, unless you are a power-gaming & unimaginative lemming who follows everyone else, without having any form of creativity or original thought rolling around your brainpain...

HC data was always understood to be a tempting morsel because the equal start is there, but then you trade that for 100% bias toward permadeath playstyle.

90% of statistics are made up on the spot. Nice to see you keeping up the averages.

Your 9th post? Welcome to the forums, SMR.

Whenever you respond a "new" thread ("new" to you, that is!), and especially if you "Searched" to find it, it's important to check the date of the last post, and the OP, to make sure it's still relevant.

And (at least in a thread this short), it could also be wise that you're adding something that hasn't already been covered. But that's up to you whether or not that's something you want to wear.

In this case, 6 months later, and when several others already and amply made your point... not so much. (And 6+ months ago, Aasimar were very popular in HC, enough that some hyperbole is not completely out of line.)

    Anyway, nice necro, old news.

    Readya around.

Nothing adds more value to a year old post than an unrelated witty remark.
