Default Axel: DDO's Novel, The Shard Axe - My Thoughts

I finally found the time to read DDO's novel, The Shard Axe. Here's my general thoughts on it. I kept this video very spoiler light and general, should anyone see this video and decide they want to give the novel a go.

I am lucky to have a signed copy of this one. I liked both books a lot, the second was just released digitally.
Have fun, and don't forget to gather for buffs!

I enjoyed both books as well. I wished there was a lot more DDO in them, but I enjoyed reading all the game references. Reading these definitely made me wish for more.

That's really neat. The author was kind enough to respond to me on twitter and retweet this video. It's too bad the sequel never got a physical release. I've never read a book digitally, always physical, but maybe I'll give this one a try if I can find the time (and my brother lets me borrow his kindle).

Yeah, more DDO in Shard Axe would have been cool. The 2nd half of it takes place pretty much entirely outside of any in game location. I know there's atleast some DDO fan fiction around. I wrote 2 short stories myself years ago. But yeah more DDO stuff to read would be welcome.
