I took my lvl 20 FVS and copied him to the test server to see how the real numbers played out in game.
All of the numbers are from casting the spells over 40 times on NPCs that have no resistance to the damage types. Saves vs the damage were not counted nor were crits.
Sunbolt:
Live : 1115 Test: 750
Searing Light:
Live: 1203 Test: 830
Nimbus of Light:
Live: 575 Test: 425
Comet Fall:
Live: 902 Test: 721
Holy Smite:
Live: 854 Test: 550
Flame Strike:
I have omitted the results as they are... strange. The damage went down on the fire portion but it looks like the bane portion stayed the same?
What does all of this mean?
A lvl 20 EE quest wolf has 2584hps.
My current FVS will do, on live, 2893 dmg, with no crits, on a three spell rotation of Sunbolt, Searing Light, and Nimbus which will equal a dead wolf.
My FVS after the nerfs will do 2005 dmg, with no critcs, with the exact same rotation which means if he doesn't crit then the wolf is still alive.
That entire rotation is taking a 31% decrease to dmg.
