You aren't the only one in that boat...this begs the question, for higher end rewards to have options..

I am with you, I don't really like the wings, but so many people do. Perhaps having a 5500 reward tier where you can pick a 5k reward from a prior season.

Hardcore relies on the FOMO mindset to draw in players, similar to the seasons on Path of Exile and Diablo III. If you could pick rewards from prior seasons during any season, then why would someone play every hardcore season when they can just play one to cherry pick previous rewards?

Well, if they go by the pattern they have established, why would somebody play a repeat of a season if they already have earned the rewards from that season first time around..

I did not play 5 because I earned all the rewards from 1. I am missing the reaper cloak from 2 and I skipped 4. If I could choose previous rewards from previous seasons, I would have played and spent money on 5.

It's pretty simple logic to any non leetist.

HCL 5 was short simply because it was a repeat and many people were upset that the previously unique reward of bloody footprints was given again.
