Are challenges done 2 levels or 4 levels above their rating this season?

Sorry if I missed an earlier thread regarding this, but I am level 8 and remember the first challenges used to be done (at highest) at level 10. Is that no longer true because of the 2 levels max this season -- does it apply to challenges as well or are they the same as in past seasons? Thanks if you know ....would like to get the favor now unless its ok to get to 10 for the first challenges.

Challenges apply their level restriction based on the level selected. So if you select CR 12 for a challenge, you may be level 14 or below to participate.
