Default Getting tired of paying $$ for DDO design foibles, having to watch like a hawk

Just did a TR, was on final screen, set to Neutral but wanted to check everything. Looked ok so paged to end again and reincarnated and then saw after it too late it was defaulted back to Lawful Good which will matter down the road equipping Chaos Bow (or some other reason I need to be neutral). At some point I get tired of doing psuedo coding for the devs over and over and over by being personally hyper paranoid, checking every last detail for errors, and then having to pay them for the wrinkles everywhere.

Ran into this myself once. Weird, it's the only thing that doesn't stick. All the other pages on character creation don't change.

I made the same mistake a month or so ago - bothered me at cap since I was using hallowsphere which incurs a negative level.

The good news is the "negative level" doesn't mean too much, and unless this is your final life you could just ignore it. The bad news is you'll get hit with chaos hammer which slows you down (whereas you would just shrug it off as true neutral).

The drop-down control for character alignment is a bit awkward. When hovering your mouse over the list of items that are "dropped down", you have to keep the cursor on the actual words - and you'll see the word highlighted in yellow. If you move the mouse cursor just slightly to the left of the "Neutral" selection, you'll notice it un-highlights the list item, and instead highlights the "CREATE" button. But it does this while leaving the drop-down list open - which is not standard behavior for this type of UI control.

Yes, it is like dodging land mines when trying to select the correct alignment. But it's something you have to get better at unless the developers want to rebuild a new control for that antique screen.

Fishy to me that the one thing they can charge you money to fix does this. Fishy because it makes you wonder if its by design. Fishy because its been looking fishy for years and no bother to fix it.
