That's not what I typed.
I didn't say you couldn't take chances. I actually am.
I said nobody is bothering too, because they feel it is too dange4ous . It is extremely boring and tedious, the +2 vs +4 just jeans there is less options for grouping, and. Nobody tried to do anything over level.
It's a total snooze fest grind.
I have been having this same issue. I am very worried that by the time I get to epics all the whales and elitists will have already left the server leaving little to no lfms that will ever fill. It makes me feel like the only ones that will ever succeed are the elitists and those that can pay their way to success. Imho, the +2 level drop was one of the stupidest and least thought out concepts that have been applied to the server. There are other ways of making things on the server difficult for the players, making it more hard core for those who want it while still allowing more grouping options for people that are not going along with the devs forced zerg that is the current state of hc. Which is another issue altogether. For a company that encourages group play, having a hc season that is centered around rewarding solo activity (zerging) seems a like poor design. I have already had several run ins with people that this season was designed for and have booted them from the group at the earliest chance I have had. Don't join a group if you plan on not being part of that group, you are useless and a liability if you zerg off weather you complete the quest or not, you don't look like some hero saving everyone from having to do a quest, you just look like a jack(fill in the blank). Case in point, last night, had one of these zergers, I asked that he stop doing it, he ignored me, had a hound appear on him, due to some issue with terrain and water, he couldn't kill it right away, the group ended up with 8 stacks of dots before the hound was put down, I could barely keep everyone up with my healing and almost lost one of the bards. The death that would have happened if he hadn't finally killed the dog or we couldn't have gotten out in time would have solely been on that zerger. This is the type of play that this season is encouraging. Personally other than the zerging, the rest of it I can deal with. I dislike the +2 level lockout drop, but I'm still mostly enjoying the season.
Terrible season, worst so far. Inability to pause/go afk at random moments, solo with a buff bot (without relog hassle) and initial dog bugs made it unfun and tedious. Getting groups was harder too, especially in higher levels. I got my 5k and that's it. I'm skipping the next one if it's similar.
This also makes getting chains like threnal and sorrowdusk finished quite annoying. A lot of folks will *only* run at +2. Even the group I joined to run the house K tavern quests would ONLY run the level 5 quests and insisted on coming back to hit the 6's after they leveled.
Some what, but don't care for hounds or +2 cap. The basic perma-death was fine with +4 cap, don't want the mimics or hounds, if I want more challenge, I can do it on reaper mode.
Darkwinn, Milkus, Terismina, Gothmawg, Dreylock, Drunarah, Bigbhamboo, etc on Sarlona / Brixlynn, Mofus, Curgoth, Deidlit, etc on Ghalanda.
No. I died at level 2 in korthos village to a hound that killed me in 2 hits.
I didn't find that fun.
I now only gold roll on hardcore.
When that toon is full I will transfer it over to my main server and create another on hardcore.
same issue i have with most hc season. get burned out around 3k favor. maybe next season i will try getting to 20 first, then reaper, then favor
I like it because it is HCL
do I like it better or worse?
not really.
about the same.
This is what I feared. With the changes, the only way to achieve the reaper goal is to have done it already. It makes me sad that the changes were this poorly thought out. I get that the devs are really wanting people to like the things that they do, but sometimes when something is this obviously a bad idea it makes you wonder what they are really up to.
