npc dialogue in chat

is there any way to put npc dialogue into chat?

i find i forget things and have no way to go back and see what they said. this happens a lot for quest givers or npc's in quests. most recently i finished my first tier of favor for the twelve and Jeanselme Brucetius told me to go see someone in meridia, that she has some artifact to show me. well i spoke to everyone in meridia and there was nothing. clearly i got something wrong i but now i have no idead what i was supposed to do. in addition, google results/ddo wiki is of absolutely no help.

no, it wasnt for the quest line. it was for the favor reward. the twelve's favor dude is Jeanselme Brucetius and he directed me to meridia.

so screenies are the only way? no way put put it in a chat box?

Yes, you also speak to Jeanselme Brucetius for the Large Bag after gaining 100 Favour with The Twelve. The story is intertwined and if you don't follow the steps explained above in those links it just gets more complicated about what you are supposed to do next...

Unless the NPC text appears within one of the Chat channels itself or your mail inbox then you are basically out of luck. You can copy text within the Chat channels as that's using actual fonts for text.

You cannot directly copy-and-paste the text itself; within one of those raster Bitmap-based image dialogue boxes directly and extract text (they are pixels only). Either take screenshots or use a pen-and-paper to take notes.
