I just died stupidly [in a group] at lvl 5... RAGE, completely my fault.

(1) Fey Hounds... i started as a lvl 1 rogue and did Baudry part 1... Fey Hound spawned, it was completely OP for a lvl 1 character --> similar to Mimics, start them occuring in lvl 3+ quests.

(2) Fey Hounds... no rewards, unlike mimics. Ugh!

(3) Quest level +2 limit... coupled with Fey Hounds, this will severely limit soloing, which will turn some players away. This is an extremely narrow-minded view from SSG. But it is consistent as SSG continues to show a severe lack of professionalism when testing new content prior to release, on their lack of interest to communicate information, and their woeful inability to think about the community in general.

EDIT please note that I am NOT peronsally targetting Cordovan. He, with a couple of others [NOT the Producers] is amongst the few that do communicate some info, but even that is limited and very frustrating at times.

Initial Conclusion: Hounds should not spawn in very low levels quests and wilderness areas, SSG should have communcated theme in advance and explained the ideas and impact of Hounds (types of Hounds, immunities, spawn rates, what will they be like at higher levels???), and the level +2 change is, imo, a bad choice. Worst hardcore yet... is this because my character died? I'm not trying to be negative, but trying to be justly critical. I really wish SSG would communicate much better with the community, its like they don't care at all.

If a computer disconnects, the character should not be punished if they are not in combat.

My character was in a non-combat area, underwater, with an UW action item. My computer DC'd, and when I logged back on a couple minutes later, my character was already dead, in the Land of Lost Souls. I'll never know how or why this happened, I can only guess that they rubber-banded back a ways where there was a trap I avoided. Or that they remained "active" for minutes and a Hound showed up. Either way, Lame.

If this is the mechanic, then HC is unplayable, for me at least. Shame. <shrug>

How much of a notice will be given for the transfer window, considering there's no ETA? I don't even know what's normal, as Hardcore servers didn't exist the last time I played. And will this notice be prominent in the launcher, or will we have to be diligent scouring the dev tracker here?

We'll make sure people have plenty of time to get off of the Hardcore server. What about time sensitive items, like Night Revels keys/ingredients? I have a toon on Hardcore with 30 keys and various ingredients that I cannot transfer to Orien. Will I have time to use them or get some compensation?

You can still log in on HC and use them there, but I'm assuming you want to transfer them to a Orien character?

It's a storage toon, so cannot really use them there. Plus, Hardcore is closed for doing quests and such. So, yeah, transfer the toon to Orien so I can empty it. As I said, the character just has 30 keys and various ingredients.

I have seen nothing more on Character Transfers from HC and I am still unable to transfer and I want to know when I can, where is the notifications, information?

I think the main stressor about this is whether there will be Revels time left once transfers are fixed. ... oh, yeah. That's today.

Letting folks know that issue is on your radar (and a possible event extension) would probably quell a bunch of worry.

Some people may not read forums. Could you please just post a link saying that (hopefully) transfers will be enabled for a month or whatever when the problem is resolved.

Letting night revels go on after this would be nice... or at least don't destroy the keys earned on HC.

Please give some reassurance to settle the concerns.

We will do a shorter encore of the Night Revels in the coming weeks or whenever the timing makes sense so people with leftover keys and ingredients can spend them before they are expired. We'll have more information on timing when we can, but it will be after the return of character transfers.

Character Transfers from all worlds except Orien have returned. We are continuing to troubleshoot issues with transfers to or from Orien, and we will have more information when we can.

Transfers from the Hardcore server are also once again available! Characters can transfer FROM Hardcore for free through December 4th, 2022. In the future we will offer a free transfer period to Orien to allow for players who wish to transfer from Hardcore to Orien to do so. The timing of opening free transfers to Orien will be announced in the future. Thank you!
