    Exclamation "Connecting to patch s..." and it shows at 33%, then it stops and says "Failed"

    It has been a few weeks since I last played, and there seems to be an update to the game.
    I loaded the game, and the launcher displayed "Connecting to patch s..."
    It displays at 33%, then switches to "Failed" and starts a 60-second countdown to retry. It still repeats over and over.

    Displaying below: "An update error occurred: Server connection timed out.

    I am running Windows 10 and have tried the following:
    1) I checked my firewall by turning it off.
    2) Restated my router and network.
    2) Accessed the launcher menu - Options - Repair (Tab) - Clicked Repair (Button) to Repair Game Data, this took some time to download and install, but the error is still happening.
    4) I left the computer on and cycled through the 60 seconds over and over for four days in case it was a connection problem with my internet service provider's DNS. Sadly, leaving it running did nothing.
    5) I am not using a proxy and VPN.
    6) Uninstalled and then re-installed the game, which did not work.
    7) Check "Allow an app through Windows Firewall" (dndclient & dndclient64 & DNDLauncher are allowed)

    Not sure where to go from here!
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    EDIT/UPDATE: I was required to use a VPN to complete the update. For some reason my local ISP has the wrong DNS which I figured would have been correctly updated in their system by now.

    DNS servers used by ISPs are often lousy and not up to date. You can change the DNS used by editing it in your network adapter settings or router settings. I'd look into Cloudflare, OpenDNS, or even Google (if you want to support their world takeover), as these are consistently ranked as the best DNS servers year after year.

    I've had file access denied issues prevent the update. To circumvent, I've had to run the launcher as Admin so it could bypass. Just for the one session to get past the update failure.
