PvP Tournament

I will be trying to host a PvP tournament this Sunday on Argonnessen. If anyone would like to join they just need to let me know before 2:00PM EST on July 17th.

Tournament start date: July 17th at 3:00pm EST.

PVP Rules
1. First life
2. Level 7
3. No Warlock
4. No buffs prior to entering arena

Rewards
1st = 100 Astral Shards
2nd = 1Mil Platinum
3rd = 500k Platinum

This will be more of a test event to see how people like it and I will adjust the rules and future events based on how people like this one. Currently I would like to do Team Death Match and Capture The Flag events fairly soon. I will also do non-pvp events like scavenger hunts/quiz like events from my ingame event channel

I have created an ingame channel for this, to join type "/joinchannel ArgoEvents" in your ingame chat. This will be where all ingame communication happens during the tournament or future events.

no warlock... im pretty sure a max/emp sorc/wiz will one shot anyone from distance.. but yeah go with the no warlock thing because warlocks are so amazing at 7.

The point is warlock is a caster that doesnt need mana/can do damage that cant be resisted.

I was able to go into a tavern and challenge my alt and go to the pvp zone and kill them till the time ran out. so I believe so, if that's what they turned off.

That's cool. No interest in PvPp but remembered reading the Dev post so figure I'd check. Nothing worse than going to the effort in organising something only for it too fall down around your ears through no fault of your own.

thank you, I would also like to do another event near the end of HC

seems like a weak point to me... I hope everyone shows up as a lvl 7 warlock.

Have you tried the direct challenge party where it takes you to a private arena? I think that's what they turned off.

Yes, that is what I am referring to. They turned it off again because of me.

Why would you think that?

And others did use the arenas too. My guild has been using them for the past 2 years for our PVP sessions. Can be a huge amount of fun when it's all friendlies

watched your vid.. i dont think a warlock would have had the range or the cc of that bard who had zero issues killing everyone....

Yeah, that would be the fey pact specifically that isn't allowed. I don't think there's a problem with warlock, it's unbanned if I remember correctly, it the Fey pact and "DARK DELIRIUM" ability at level 6. It stun locks and holds you in an infinite loop where you can't do anything from moving, to activating abilities, can't be absorbed by spell absorption basically making the competition is easy win.

This was really fun to watch! And balancing the competition going forward is going to be really interesting. Some things may be way more powerful than others, but then, if everyone can access them, are they truly unfit for this competition (which is as much about your build as your PVP skills)? Maybe! It's tricky!

Definitely look forward to following the next one.
