    Default Expanded Spell Lists

    Hello every, Hail and Well Meet,

    I think an expanded spell list should be given to pure spell casters.
    For example,
    a Druid's transmutations may be in order to be given to Alchemists;
    a Cleric's Conjurations may be in order to give to Warlocks;
    all spells may be in order to give to Sorcerers and Wizards.

    In beta, a lot of talk was given to the limited wish spell.
    In 3.5 pen and paper, DM's can award a character research, putting a spell on their spell list from a different class.
    Research was for Wizards exclusively. But, an innate caster may simply be inclined to be able, gifted to be able, to cast spells from other spell lists.

    In DDO, Clerics already have Wizard spells.
    Favored Souls were supposed to have greater melee capabilities, a solo class. They are probably the highest dps in our game because almost nothing is immune to light damage. But, if you put some role play into a FvS's capabilities, I would think they need to be expanded into social skills. Jump is already one of their class skills. But while role playing a FvS, the DM's often took into consideration their class when attempting social skills. FvS's have a lot of power. We need to have one class better than others. But, giving them the responsibility of social skills may slow them down. Perhaps a FvS encounter inside dungeons, one requiring their wings and their jump skills, that requires diplomacy is in order, which requires all party members to be present for bonus dungeon xp.

    Finally, a word about Sorcerers. In beta, almost all the player base was against spell points because it nullified the uniqueness of the sorcerer. I would suggest they can purchase sorcerer exclusive food, a conjuration class ability, to feed to the party as a supplement to shrines. Bacon, broccoli, etc. Druid's can already do this for taverns; have the sorcerers and druids have a binding ritual, an adventure pack, to expand all pure casters. We would love a good drama between a sorc and a druid.

    Love you all, Ronny.

    FYI, Wizards should not have access to all spells. That's the player's ego talking, not a role play. It is very evil to continue to give wizards whatever they complain about. They complained to have spell points. Now, for the entire lifespan of DDO, sorcerers have suffered because wizards wanted spell points. Bluff, in 3.5, is supposed to lower enemies saves, for only sorcerers: find that in an expansion book. Check out the Unearthed Arcana; it is where spell points originated. Good DM's rejected spell points because it eliminates a sorc's class feature. In DDO, a sorc has ZERO class features.

    Please give sorc's a replacement class feature because you stole their class feature from them, and gave even warlocks spell points.

    I suggest new Bluff mechanics. It is supported in pen and paper works. Or, allow them to choose innate spells from other class lists, but at character creation, choose only one class list with the wizard spell list. Yes. The spell list that sorcs choose from now is the wizard spell list. They own all the spells. Sorcs are cheated out of their class feature. Troll yes I am, but an honest one. Sorcs have no class features.

    BTW, I am posting this comment for a friend that has no faith in the forums.
